Very well-built “SoundCaster” Super Strat
I’m really impressed with this Strat copy. Another great guitar from Leo Jaymz. I have multiple Monsoon’s and Tornado’s too. Everything works well on the guitar. The 1:18 ratio sealed machine heads are smooth and hold tune well. The nut is cut perfectly. The guitar was playable right out of the box. I’m surprised since it has a 2 point floating trem- I usually must set-up every budget 2pt trem I purchase so I’m impressed. The trem has steel saddles along with a solid full-sized block-you usually find cheap thin pot metal blocks on budget guitars. The stock Alnico 5 chrome PAF humbuckers sound good- full, clear and well-rounded. I replaced only because I wasn’t expecting the stock pickups to be any good so I ordered upgrade pickups when I ordered the guitar. I’ll keep the stock pickups for another guitar. The roasted maple neck is very strong and smooth. The steel rounded end frets are smooth and perfect- no high frets or string buzzing. The finish is perfect. All in all I’m very impressed with the guitar. It also comes with a quality padded gig bag which was another nice surprise. The stock D’Addario strings are excellent strings too.

I just got my soundcaster and i must say i'm quite impressed,,it has a small stress crack in the finish at the neck pocket but i can live with that,,,tuned it up and i love it,,,if you don't have big suhr money give this guitar a try,,,,its worth it.P.s. leo jaymz needs to use better quality boxes to ship there guitars not the paper thin box my guitar came in..
Frets not as advertised
I got the Violet Burl HSS and it did not have the stainless ball end frets. There were many high frets with the neck straight but there was no buzz when playing. The ends of the frets were dressed rather poorly and all of them were snaggy and sliced up my fingers. The pickups were screwed all the way down to the body without springs so it wasn’t possible to adjust the height of them. I work on guitars, so these are pretty easy fixes but with the number of high frets I don’t feel like doing a fret job. I returned mine. Guitar is beautiful and the neck feels real nice minus the super sharp feet ends.
Unbeatable for the Money
It's amazing what is offered here for $209. I discovered this model watching a YouTube video from a channel called "ScarMyGuitar"; where they tore one of these apart and showed how it was made up close and personal. Mine arrived here in a decent quality branded gig bag, still in tune and intonated unlike many other Chinese knockoffs I've had. The frets were polished, leveled and vibrato was dialed in (though I prefer to lock mine down so I did so after receiving it). The photo-figured top is most certainly a decal, but the total fit, finish and presentation is as good as any of the dozens of other USA made guitars I own that each are 10x-40x more in price. Even the string trees on the headstock are rollers to keep string binding to a minimum. The only odd thing about it is the decal on the headstock is spelled "soudnacaster" and not "soundcaster". I'm about to make up a fake story about a fictional Chinese guitar hero named "Soud" for when people ask about it. If cheap guitars back when I was first learning were 1/10th this good I'd be Steve Vai or Guthrie Trapp by now... prolly not but you get the point...
