5.0 out of 5 stars AMAZING COOLER FOR KEEPING DRINKS AND FOOD SEPARATE. GREAT FOR SPORTS AND OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES!
My daughter plays travel softball, and this entails long days at the ball field (8-12 hours). I want her to eat as healthy as possible and do not like having to leave the softball field to chase down fast food or find a grocery store. That being said, I would pack things like sandwiches, fruit, yogurt, applesauce packs, protein bars, etc, and put them in ziploc bags in the main compartment of our old cooler with the drinks. Within hours, these things would end up smashed or water logged and she would not eat them. I saw a friend had bought this cooler for a beach trip and gave it excellent reviews, and although I feel it is a bit pricy, I can say it is worth every single penny as are all Ninja products I have ever purchased! When they say the bottom separate compartment keeps food dry and cool like it is in a refrigerator, they are serious. The ice from the top compartment keeps everything in the COOL DRY ZONE COOL AND DRY all day!We were at the softball field for 12 hours this past weekend, and at the end of the day, everything in that bottom compartment was still extremely cold and as if it had just been prepared. To give you an idea of how much the bottom compartment will hold, I had 8 ham sliders on hawaiian rolls, cut up fruit in a small tupperware container, two zip log bags of grapes, 4 pouches of applesauce, 3 chocolate protein bars (which have never survived a cooler for the day) and two PB&J sandwiches and STILL had room for more! I bought the 36 can cooler, and it was perfect for 2-4 people all day at the ballfield. The top compartment is really large and kept everything ice cold the entire day as well. We also took this cooler on a 5 mile kayaking trip. We strapped it to the back of the kayak with it lying down, and it did not leak out. Again, we packed a lunch in the bottom for 5 people that day and had more than enough drinks up top for this 7 hour excursion. I normally do not review products, but Ninja seemed to have developed one that is just perfect for family outings. The only negative thing I have to say about it is in regards to the weight, as it weighs around 6 lbs empty, but I am not sure how they could make it any lighter and maintain the same quality. My husband says it is very comfortable to wear and doesn't seem too heavy when loaded up, but when I use it I just throw it in a wagon and pull it, so it works well for us. I highly recommend this cooler!

This is a great cooler. Truly exceeds my expectations. Well insulated, it kept our beverages cold for over 12 hours. Easy to carry. I would highly recommend this cooler.

We needed a cooler that was easy to transport for our daughters volleyball tournaments so far it’s worked great! We love the dry storage area for sandwiches and fruit. It keeps things cold the whole day which is exactly what we needed. The only downfall is we wish the dry storage was bigger for what we use it for. It can be a little too heavy when the top is full of ice and drinks but still works great.

Wow! Brilliant! Surprised someone didn’t think of this a long time ago. The dry vault is everything. I use this for my everyday lunch/cooler. I don’t have to dig through a bunch of ice and waters/drinks to get to my soaking wet lunch anymore. The dry vault at the bottom stays cold like a refrigerator all day,night. The top will hold ice for 2 days. It will melt some throughout the day, I just drain it at night and top it off with more ice,drinks. I love this cooler. It was expensive, some might say overpriced but it is a great cooler in my opinion.

I would certainly buy this again!I went OTR and I didn’t want to overwhelm the owner operators fridge.I did add ice to the top along with the cooling blocks in the bottom. I was out for 5 days. Food would have stayed cooler had the floor not generated so much heat. I added more ice to maintain. So a picnic or hike would be easy! The bottle opener is a great feature!easy to transport with the handle and in my back. Wasn’t too heavy, I’m 6ft 245lbs, plenty of room for my snacks and salads no leaks at all

The media could not be loaded. I’ve been looking for a cooler I can take on road trips. Because I travel often for work, I wanted something small that could also keep my leftovers or perishable treats like candy bars from melting in the sun on my ride home from wherever I may be.THE PROBLEMI own a YETI Roadie 24qt, which I love and highly recommend, but it’s too big and bulky to lug around for only a few drinks, especially when I check into hotel rooms. It’s even worse when we’re traveling with the kids. A bulky cooler takes up the entire middle seat in my SUV. The kids can’t even let the center armrest down to hold their drinks.PROBLEM, ALMOST SOLVEDSo when I found out about the FrostVault concept, it was the standard 30qt, and I was almost sold on the wheeled version. I wish I had known about it before I purchased the YETI. However, I’m still in the same boat, solving one problem, but not the other.SOLUTION?The backpack seemed like the perfect solution. It seemed small enough to be a personal cooler, includes a separate compartment and I love the portability of it being a backpack. Though, when I’m traveling, nearly every bag can be carried as a backpack or via shoulder strap. I really wish there was total solution that addresses all the issues.FATAL FLAWI purchased this unit used (very good), so I thought it would be lightly used with no problems. However, the zipper was off track. Granted, if you purchase it new, you won’t have that issue. HOWEVER, if your zipper ever gets off track, it’s impossible (as far as I can tell and I’ve tried again and again) to get it back on track. I’m returning this unit, but because of this design flaw, I wouldn’t even buy a new one because I’ll always be fearful of the zipper “potentially” being kicked off track. Thus making the $200 unit unsealable, technically usable, but do you want a cooler that you can't close?
