I was very excited for this release, so I preordered it months ago. Imagine my surprise when the first track started skipping! I cleaned the record, attached a nickel on top of my arm, and even tried it on another player, it still skipped. I asked for a replacement and lo and behold, this one skipped too! I’ve called around some indie stores to see if any of their customers had this problem, it was a no. If you live in the SoCal, do NOT order this from Bolo, their warehouse has a bad batch.

I'm really disappointed in this issue. First off, the original release of the Virgin Suicides score by Air is FLAWLESS. There was absolutely no need whatsoever to revisit it's mix. Warm, fuzzy, and Floydian is what is was, and how it should remain.I was not at all crazy about the revisions of the Redux mix. I feel like it sucked the soul out of the music, and made it feel oddly different, even though the mods were minimal and subtle. Levels of some instruments were dropped, while others raised- which totally changes things for me. It reminded me of visiting an old town that you were once used to, and asking yourself "why I am even here". I'd rather be home, and home is the original mix, by far.This is one of my favorite albums, quite possible my number one. I remember when Air released this back in 99, it was a game changer.As far as the bonus tracks available on the CD/digital issue: what is up with *yet* no release of an instrumental version of Suicide Underground??? It is one of their best songs within their entire discography and we still don't have it. The Lai and demo versions are OK, but seriously... we need a damn instrumental of the original without the dialog!

Also ich habe die Platte 3 mal bekommen im Austausch.Jede Platte war so krumm wie ne Banane.Ich verstehe nicht, wie das sein kann, das die durch die Endkontrolle gekommen sind.Eine war so krumm, das man die auf keine Fall hätte abspielen können.Einen 4. Austausch nehme ich erstmal nicht vor und somit wird sich diese Platte nicht in meine Sammlung einreihen.
