This cake stand is better than my old glass one. It is just as clear and pretty, but without the weight. The base has a Lazy Susan that allows the base of the stand to spin. The base can sit flat on the table, or you can install 4 small silicone feet to keep it securely in place.In addition to the turntable function, the cake plate has a groove carved near the edge to hold the lid firmly in place. This keeps the lid from sliding or running into the edge of the cake. It also helps to form an air barrier, so the cake doesn't dry out prematurely.This stand makes a nice display for a buffet, cafe counter, or even just at home. The base of this stand is quite sturdy and almost as heavy as my glass cake stand. The lid, however, is very lightweight which makes it easy to lift and remove.It is easy to clean, more durable, and less prone to breakage than glass. The acrylic on the base is nice and thick so that it can support the weight of a standard cake or pie. I recommend hand washing to keep the acrylic clear.

This cake stand has the look and function I was looking for. It is pretty and the top fits firmly into the stand’s outer ridges. It will show off a cake and also help keep it fresh and not exposed to air. I would not, however, call it premium, as the price suggests. There are two issues I have with this cake stand. First, it claims to have a smooth ball bearing design. Mine is not smooth. While it is so nice to be able to turn the cake, when I do, it makes a sort of scraping noise and squeaks. The second thing is when I lifted the lid, I was quite surprised. I know they mentioned plastic as a material it’s made of, along with acrylic, but this lid feels like cheap plastic. I would say if you are having company over for cake and it’s someone you are trying to impress, don’t have them lift the lid or turn the cake. I’m taking away just one star, even though I had a couple issues with it, because it is pretty and will do the job it’s intended to.

The cake stand is sturdy and well constructed. I like that the base rotates so that you can decorate easier, and it moves smoothly. The simple clean lines of the design look really nice and I'll use it to keep pastries or other baked goods fresh when I don't have a cake. I set it on my baker's rack, it adds a nice touch to the shelf. I'm really happy with this addition to my cooking and baking supplies.

Really nice acrylic cake stand. I love how it has a turntable and you are able to turn it for decorating. That’s a great feature. I also love how it has a clear top and how the top rests in a groove on the stand itself. This keeps it from sliding around and possibly touching the sides of your cake, which is great. It seems sturdy and well-made, although it appears to have arrived scratched which is very disappointing. You can’t see it from far away in the first picture but when you look at the zoomed in picture, you can see scratches. I tried to wash them off, thinking they were dust from packing, but they are actual scratches and do not come off, which is like I said very disappointing.

I have been wanting a cake stand with a lid for so long and just never think about it when I am buying things. I was so excited to pick this item. It’s definitely large enough for a two layer homemade round cake Or at least 12 cupcakes. It rotates to help with cake decorating. It’s a thicker plastic, so I’m not concerned about it breaking easily. Would definitely recommend this product
