This backup camera has the uncanny ability to know when it is moved, and in what direction.It is the perfect camera to use when steering wheel turning information is not available in an aftermarket installation.This camera displays the direction the vehicle is moving when it is backing up with the guidelines bending in that direction. If the vehicle stops moving, the guidelines return to straight. If the vehicle then begins moving while turning, the guidelines bend to show which direction the vehicle is turning.I found the automatic bending guidelines are a big help when backing up, and better than those that bend based on how the steering wheel is turning because the dynamic bending lines more accurately show me the direction my vehicle is moving in real time.The picture quality from this HD camera is excellent, as is the low light and night vision.The camera cable section that enters the vehicle has a small diameter connector which is a great help because it fits through smaller openings than the regular RCA style video connector. This makes installation of the camera easier. One important characteristic of this camera is that the camera body can be adjusted over a wide range to aim the camera to the desired view.I installed this camera to replace a backup camera that uses static guidelines in a vehicle that does not provide steering wheel turning information to the Android aftermarket radio head. I’m very happy with the improved rear view with the dynamic guidelines.

I've installed three aftermarket cameras on my RV and one each on two other cars, so I've installed several kinds at this point.This built much more nicely than the older plastic ones you can buy for about fifteen bucks. I think there's enough value here to spend more. A lot of that value is in the metal housing and mounting fixture. It feels a a lot better, and it has better picture quality than some of my cheaper cams.Most of the cameras come with license plate mount. I chose this one because it can be mounted to a horizontal surface. In my case, that's hiding it I'm the grill of vehicle. It installs easily with two screws which are included. It also has a foam gasket to back the cam with.I really like the angle adjustment where you can just move the camera up or down instead of shimming it. Cool function.Another thing impressive about this one versus the other I have is that it does most all of the common video formats. You just cut one of two little wires, or cut both, and you can choose 720p or 1080p in various formats your head unit or monitor may need.

If you are anything like me and have an older vehicle with an even older rear camera than this is for you! This camera is a perfect update for your older camera. It is small, works perfectly as a back up camera but you can also use it as a front camera should you choose to do so. All you have to is make some adjustments with the loop and configure the face plate. The back up camera can be installed with or with the guide lines and the picture quality is clear and sharp! I used this as a back up camera for my 2012 Tundra and it works just fine. Overall I recommend this rear camera if you need an inexpensive way to update your vehicles OEM. It comes with plenty of wire and other items needed for a clean install. Highly recommend!

The media could not be loaded. I installed this camera on my car's trunk lid, and the build quality was the first thing I noticed. The camera’s body is all metal and feels heavy in a good way. It sits very securely, and I'm not worried about it moving at all.Installation gave me a lot of options. You can rotate the camera in its housing to get the perfect viewing angle and flip the image if you need to, which made it easy to get the view just right on my screen. The image itself is crisp and clear, both during the day and at night.The dynamic trajectory lines are a great feature. As you can see in the video, they are very responsive and move instantly with the steering wheel without any delay. My one suggestion here would be to make the yellow guide lines a bit thinner and maybe add color steps to the static box (like green, yellow, red), not just green and red to better judge how close you are to things.My only other small piece of feedback is on the setup for different video signal types. To change between modes like AHD or CVBS, you have to cut a specific wire. It works, but it would feel a bit safer if there were small switches or connectors instead of having to cut wires. Overall, though, this is a fantastic camera that works well.
