Took a while to get here. But they were on time and there’s a long expiration date.

It’s hard to review these types of items because you can’t really determine their effectiveness unless you find yourself in a situation that involves high amounts of radiation. But, potassium iodide tabs are an essential piece of survival gear that should always be in your bugout bag. And I own several of Mira’s products already, so I’m confident these will do the trick if that time comes.This bottle comes with a one month’s supply for an adult. May even enough for a full family for a few days, which is plenty enough to keep you safe while evacuating an affected area.It’s got a 10-year shelf life and is priced competitively.I’m only taking one star off because the bottle I got expires in 2034, which means I’m losing 2 years of the advertised shelf life right out of the box. I understand FIFO (first in, first out) for supply, but I’m sure everyone would be expecting to get as close to the max shelf life as possible when it comes to items like this.

Something to have just in case the worst happens
This is one of those things that I honestly feel silly for owning, but not silly enough to not own it. Obviously the hope is that I will never have any use for these, because if I do then that means things have gotten way worse. But, and the interest trying to be prepared for dinner the worst case scenarios I picked these up and that puts me in a weird predicament because I can't actually test them in the circumstances for which they are designed since I'm not interested in exposing myself to nuclear radiation. That means I am evaluating these based entirely on a good faith assumption that they are what they claim to be. Now, the company that manufacturers, or at least sells, these is MIRA and I am very familiar with them and their solid track record with contamination mitigation products. So, that certainly bodes well for these pills. In terms of price, they were pretty average that they were listed for $19.99 when I ordered it. As I write this however, they are being offered for only $11.99. At that lower price I feel they are a much more justifiable purchase to have available "just in case." This is especially true given that one container is sufficient for two adults for 2 weeks, or 4 children for 2 weeks.
