Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to share such a captivating narrative about your life journey.Your consistent gratitude towards your family, friends, and colleagues throughout the book deeply resonated with me. It truly reinforced my understanding that almost all rewards and gratification are accompanied by some form of pain. As we move forward into the unfamiliar, we often seek a guiding power to provide strength. Each step forward also requires us to release something familiar and potentially comforting, whether it's old friends, habits, or familiar surroundings. True growth often involves a kind of separation—a death and rebirth—along with the accompanying grief and mourning for what we've left behind.Anne Frank's observation that "Dead people receive more flowers than the living ones because regret is stronger than Gratitude" came to mind as I read your work. You powerfully illustrate that gratitude is indeed the key to unlocking our goals.

Mr. Dicks provides a masterclass performance in providing a description of his personal journey and how he was redeemed by Grace along that journey. The book leads the reader along Me. Dicks path and enlightens the reader with relevant scripture passages every step of the way.The book is compelling without being heavy handed. It never seeks to push the reader , but rather allows the reader to experience Grace at their own pace and in their own way. I could not out it down! ILook forward to more work in this genre from Mr. Dicks.

Read this in one sitting. The author's had an interesting life - built and lost businesses, dealt with some tough personal stuff, and found his way through it all.What I liked is how he tells his stories without being preachy. The chapters about mentoring young people and helping first responders were my favorites. You can tell he's genuinely trying to help others learn from his experiences.Easy read that feels more like hearing someone's life story than reading a typical faith book. Worth picking up if you like honest memoirs.

I picked this up because I was curious about the author's story, and man, I'm glad I did. This isn't some perfect Christian success story - it's messy, real, and honest in all the best ways.Dicks doesn't hold back about his struggles. The guy was homeless, battled drinking, dealt with bullying, and lost businesses. But what got me was how he shows God working through all of it - even the really tough stuff. His Marine Corps stories are great, and I loved reading about how he built companies and then lost them, only to get back up again.What really hit home was his chapter on helping friends through addiction and tough times. You can tell he genuinely cares about people, and his work with law enforcement foundations shows he's not just talking the talk.The writing feels like you're having coffee with a friend who's been through some stuff and wants to share what he's learned. No preaching, no perfect answers - just real experiences and how faith played out in all of it.If you've ever wondered if God can use your mess-ups for something good, or if you're going through a rough patch and need some hope, this one's worth reading. It reminded me that none of us have it all figured out, and that's okay.

I’ve always enjoyed learning about the lives of other people. The important part of discovering the true nature of another human being is when they reveal their frailties and their insights into the goals they’ve achieved, along with the goals that still remain out of their reach. This is that kind of story. A story of success and failure; a story of faith and discovery. I personally witnessed much of what this story relates, and it hit me hard. If you’re looking for a meaning in life, give this book a chance. You may find something you didn’t even know you were looking for to guide you through the tough times.
