If you have bigger hands, this grip is a must. The texture of the grip provides a positive feel and the extra material at the base is great for larger hands.It is lightweight, feels solid, and looks like it is part of the camera from Fujifilm. It does not add any bulk to the camera.You retain access to the battery door and memory card and you are able to store the tool to install and un-install the grip.

You might think that the X half doesn't need a handgrip for a camera this small and all it will do is make the camera bulky. You would be wrong on both counts. I have this handgrip on my camera full time and I can still slip it into many of my different pockets. First of all the grip works well with the camera, while it protrudes from the camera body it is still only half the height of the lens, so it does not get in the way. Like SmallRig products, the fit to the base is perfect and the design allows easy card and battery changes, it never gets in the way like the Leica grips do. Although it is aluminum, it is very low profile and gives a good and protective base for the camera when you set it down. The build quality of the plate is frankly better than the camera, lol. And I love SmallRig plates because they always provide that screwdriver magnetically attached to the bottom to provide easy access and removal. This one really does stay with the magnets because it is also recessed, so I do not worry about it getting dislodged and I losing it. Lastly, the price is such a good value for a great baseplate. It stays on my camera permanently, despite having a case for this camera. I rather have the well-designed grip!

I like having quick release plates on my cameras. This one is nice. It is thin and unobtrusive. The silicone grip is a plus. It is very similar to the ones that I use on my other FujiFilm camera.The grip is comfortable enough. The plate does what it is intended to do (so functionality is covered).The price for such an accessory is fair. The included hot shoe cover is another plus.

Arca mount is perfect for tripod use.Note, the color is not perfectly matched with my Fuji, but its close.
