There's only one negative to it, if you have a round pool, it's going to struggle with the floor. It will get it done, it's just going to take longer. You can choose for it to clean the floor, clean the walls, or put it on auto and it will do both. It's crazy as it sounds it has no issue climbing the side of the pool wall. I have an above ground pool, that's vinyl, and those walls aren't straight up and down. They're over 90°, and this thing climbs right to the top and scrubs the water line. The only reason I can think it sticks to the wall is because of suction. I tried to take pictures of it in the water, and tried to shoot video, but the vacuum pushes so much water that it causes a lot of turbulence on the surface of the water wherever the robot is. I had a lot of debris on the pool floor, there was a pile of leaves that are always hard to vacuum up, because every time you get close to him they disperse. This thing had no issue picking them up. There was also some algae on one side of the pool, and it had no issue cleaning that up. I've ran it about three times now, and it is work great. There are maybe a couple things I wish were different. They do supply the hook to put on the pole, to get the robot vacuum out. That hook is made out of a plastic. I wish that was some sort of metal. The vacuum itself, once you pull it to the surface, it's on the heavy side, because it's full of water. I think it weighs 27 lb on its own, and once it comes to the surface full of water it's definitely closer to 40 lb. And the place on the vacuum were you hook it, I wish that was some type of high visibility color. Because when you're looking down through the water trying to figure out where to hook it from, it's really hard to tell where to grab it at. I found the easiest way to get it out, is when it's cleaning the walls, and it comes to the top, you grab it when it comes to the top. It charges up fairly quick, The only issue with that, there's not a battery gauge. So you really have no idea how much charge is in it. I'm not sure I would ever spend the kind of money this costs to buy it myself, but now that I do have it and I tried it, it's really a game changer when it comes to cleaning the pool. Overall I'm pretty impressed with the performance.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cleans well but needs finer filter

I have a corded Maytronics Active 20 and wanted to try one of these Aiper cordless robots to see how they compare. The A20 does a good job of cleaning my pool, but the cord is a pain as it gets tangled during cleaning, needs to be rolled up when putting the vac away, and drapes across the deck while in use.TLDR - The Aiper is a great unit, but could really use a finer filter to capture fine dirt.Being a cordless unit, I liked being able to throw the vac in the pool and not have a cable stretched across my deck. I also liked being able to take the vac out and not have to untangle and then wind up the cable to store it. It comes with a plastic hook that attaches to the end of your pool pole for retrieving, since there's no cable to pull it out. Once the battery gets down to about 10%, it drives itself to a pool wall and parks there. It actually works really well and is easy to take out with the hook.It cleans really well and has great coverage. I set it to floor only mode, as I don't need my walls, tile line, or steps cleaned. It then spent between 2-3 hours (checked at 2 hours and was still going) covering the bottom of my pool with its pre-programmed pattern. It fully covered my pool floor and got every leaf. I was really impressed. I think it has a better pattern and better coverage than my A20. Having the floor only mode really helps! One minor point (and reason for only 4 stars) is that the filter is not a very fine mesh. I'm in Arizona, and we have fine dirt/dust that gets into the pool. While this will capture larger sand and leaves, the fine dirt will just get redistributed into the water and settle back to the bottom of the pool. My A20 has a pleated filter that captures this fine dirt. If Aiper had a finer filter option to capture that dirt, this would be a perfect (5 star) unit.Charging was also quick and easy. I just need to figure out where to store this now since it's got a battery and needs to be charged before use. It's a different process than my corded unit which I leave outside covered, but exposed to the elements (heat and rain). You also can't run it back to back like the corded unit since you'll need to pull it out and charge it before use again. But with how well it covers the bottom of my pool, I don't anticipate having to do any back to back runs like I do with my A20.As for longevity, I've only had it for a few weeks and only used it a couple of times, but no problems so far. It's well built and I have no reason to believe it won't last based on its build quality.
