5.0 out of 5 stars Much better than anticipated! My New BFF!
I really don't get to say let something is "much better than I anticipated" too often. I get to do that here!I deal with a lot of products some of which are really well done and others which are just meeting the bare minimums. This updated AIPER Seagull Pro Cordless Robotic Pool Cleaner, Wall Climbing Suction Pool Cleaner has definitely impressed me. It does everything that they claim it does and more. I have almost always had two different pool cleaners. One that was robotic and would do the basic cleaning of leaves or debris things like that, but never seem to really get the sand very well. Then I would go in with a different type of vacuum and get into the nitty gritty with that to pick up all the sand. So it really was never just drop it and go. Now, I do not have to follow up with that vacuum one. This is so much larger than all other robotic pool cleaners I've had. It makes me feel like it's like the Humvee of robotic pool cleaners. It's not going to let any piece of dirt or grime past it. It won't let you be embarrassed when your friends come to hop in the pool. This guy makes sure it sparkly clean for you. And yes, it really does climb walls! I didn't believe that initially, but it's true!Another bonus is the amount of time it cleans for. Way longer than previous units I've owned. I don't have to sit and watch it to make sure it doesn't give out. I am thrilled with this guy.My new BFF!!
4.0 out of 5 stars Less Hassel
This is my fourth above-ground pool. I chose the materials carefully and am happy to report its lasted 14 years now -- more than twice as long as my previous. But the round bottom has become uneven due to roots running beneath it. The old Polaris Dolphin bottom sweeper is even older than the pool -- the basket is broken and the floating rubber cord is dangerously disintegrating. Plus it only runs an hour. So, I've been shopping for a new cleanerThe Aiper Seagull Seagull Pro runs for up to 2.5 hours which is more than twice as long as my old Polaris. It takes three to four hours to charge, which seems like a long time. But I rarely if ever have to use it more than a couple times per week, so the charge time is moot. Anyway, this one is a very methodical bottom sweeper that can handle walls as well as bottoms. Its got a knob on top that you use to switch modes to do just the floors or just the walls or both. It has four wheel drive, so it can go anywhere...up the hills, over the roots, in and out of the valleys. It's a bit heavy, about the same as a 25 lb. bucket of chlorine tabs, so when hauling it out of the water, be sure to drain it first. These new smart bots are some of the best bottom sweepers I've seen. They travel all over, methodically covering virtually every "round" inch. The sweeper conveniently parks itself next to the wall and comes with a hook for easy retrieval. It's rechargeable, so it has to be juiced up before every use, but there's no electrical wire to worry about tangling and disintegrating. I like the simplicity and effectiveness of this design -- no app to have to hassle with connecting. Less time spent cleaning means more time spent swimming!
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing time and effort saver!! (even if not 100% perfect)
I am in love with this pool robot! It has a huge reservoir for debris and lasts a long time going around the floor and walls of the pool. For the most part, it's good at the important things:- Whenever it does encounter sand and debris, it sucks it up great!- It's pretty cute having a mind of its own, climbing walls, briefly reaching above the water line like some aquatic beast slurping up any floating leaves and bugs that have accumulated around the perimeter.- It looks really modern and classy, like it came from outer space to clean up my pool. There are things that are not perfect about it:- It is pretty heavy when dry (over 20 lbs, mostly due to the large battery) and even heavier once it's full of water. This does make it difficult to lift out of the pool for cleaning.- Sometimes it gets stuck on parts of the floor or struggles to get all the way up a wall. This was no surprise to me. My house robot vacuum needs a lot of babysitting too, and honestly I'm still impressed how much independence I can let this pool vac get away with before I need to intervene.- It misses spots (again: so does my home robovac, and I still find it useful).I didn't expect a 100% pristine pool at the end of each run - what I expected was to be able to save hours of back-straining manual pool scrubbing and skimming every day, and this robot exceeded those expectations! It's more than adequate for daily maintenance while I do other things. And while I do find myself having to skim out the occasional missed debris, and strain to get it out of the water for cleaning and charging, it's nothing compared to the daily exhaustion and back strain of cleaning the pool all by myself!!
5.0 out of 5 stars Solid pool robot
I've owned a number of robotic pool cleaners at all different price points up to over $2k. I have to say that this one covers the most important functions while giving a lot of bang for your buck. It will cover very large pools and clean for over 2 hours before needing recharging. It'll climb the walls of the pool and clean pretty much every inch from bottom to sides. The debris filter is quite large...about the size of a car battery. This allows the pool robot to clean quite a bit of material such as tree leaves that fall in the pool. One feature I really appreciate that I've only seen in more expensive pool robots is the way this one moves to the side of the pool when it needs recharging. This avoids scenarios like having to fish it from the bottom or middle of the pool. The build quality seems quite good and I feel like it should last quite a few seasons of regular use. Overall a solid value in a pool robot.
I’d give this six stars if I could

We use an upgraded Intex sand filter and pump.I’ve had a multitude of cleaning vacuums ranging from manual to hose-powered to battery powered but this is the first pool robot I have had.For me this pool cleaner robot from AIPER was a complete game-changer. We live in a semi-rural area with well water and though I had the pool filled 2/3 with water that we trucked in, if the levels ever went out of balance even the slightest while we were out of town then we would find hints of algae starting once we returned and it was a nightmare to get it under control again.Since using this robot I haven’t had any issues with chemical balancing or algae. I charge it up during the day and then balance the levels after we are done swimming then put the robot in and let it do it’s thing. It runs for about 2.5 hrs and so at supper time I bring it in, clean the filter and then set it to dry out before charging it the next day. Rinse and repeat.I only use the floor cleaning mode and not the side plus floor sinceI am wary of damage to the soft-sided pool structure. Once it is done charging I insert the filter and carry it over to the pool. I switch it via the selector knob to floor cleaning mode and drop it in. Viola, it’s that’s simple. It does an AMAZING job of picking up debris and then I added small pieces poly-fill to the filter box to help pick up fine debris and the pool sparkles now. I haven’t had a single hint of algae or any issues at all now that the pool is being thoroughly vacuumed daily. The vacuum is silent when operating and sometimes it’s a bit hide and seek trying to find it if I have the cover on the pool while it works. I can tell where it is by just the slightest ripple occasionally or when I hear it bump up against the side of the pool. One thing I like is that even in floor cleaning mode the vacuum still travels up the first foot of the side of the pool so it gets into the edge. My pool has a seam around the edge of the pool liner that is the bane of my existence since it can be a haven for debris and bacteria so I had to constantly pull it aside manually to clean. The vacuum takes care of this entirely now.As for smart navigation it does appear that the vacuum can detect the pool edges and travels in a pattern for the optimal cleaning. I have yet to see any debris left in the pool after a vacuum. The vacuum can be heavy when lifting it out but I bought a super heavy duty telescoping pe with a hook in the end to pull it out and then once it is at the top of the water I pull it out halfway and let the water drain. Then I lift it out entirely and it’s easy to carry to the patio to dry out.Overall this is a fantastic poolRobot and I absolutely love it and will always have a robot bow as ping as I have a pool. 100% worth every penny for this robot.
Makes cleaning a side quest
In a nutshell, this robotic pool cleaner works like a charm. Compared to the previous version I got to try, which was made for flat pools only (though seems to have worked well in a slanted pool regardless), this one is more powerful being able to clean not just the pool floor but the walls too. The mode is easy to toggle and it honestly performs magnificently, making the pool cleaning almost an afterthought. For sure it takes time but you can leave it and come back a while later with no issues. It is easy to fish it out of the pool afterwards too with the included hook, though admittedly the old models with the wings were even easier, just on the basis of the wings being more visible.Cleaning out the pool cleaner is nice and easy, with good access and a large bin. With regular use the bin is never really too dirty either so that's really nice. Being waterproof (it's a pool cleaner robot after all) it's easy to just leave it outside to charge as well, though I recommend by preference to at least do so in the shade to not promote the degradation of the plastics used.Overall, really satisfied with this product and can easily recommend this to anyone!P.S. I don't find there to be a significant difference between the wheeled vs tracks models in terms of performance. It's somewhat negligible especially considering it's a hands-off cleaning operation.
Review: AIPER 2023 Seagull Pro Cordless Pool Cleaner Robot
The AIPER 2023 Seagull Pro Cordless Pool Cleaner has completely transformed my pool maintenance routine, and I’m genuinely impressed by its performance. Right out of the box, this robot feels like a high-quality piece of equipment—solid, well-constructed, and ready to tackle even the dirtiest pools. I was initially hesitant, given that my pool is just a modest setup from Walmart, but this cleaner exceeded all my expectations. One of the features I appreciate most is the ability to select different cleaning modes. Since my pool isn’t very large, I usually set it to clean just the bottom, which it does efficiently. It’s designed to handle more significant challenges, but it’s versatile enough to cater to smaller pools as well. I was also pleasantly surprised by its wall-climbing ability, which adds an extra layer of thoroughness to the cleaning process. It even takes care of surface debris when it climbs the walls, which is a fantastic bonus. However, the robot’s weight in water does make it a bit challenging to retrieve, especially if you’re not as strong or mobile. This could be an area for improvement—perhaps a self-returning feature to the charging base when the battery is low could be a game-changer for those of us who find it difficult to lift. Despite this, the robot is simple to set up, and once charged, it’s as easy as dropping it in the pool and letting it do its thing. The cleaning pattern might seem random at first glance, but it does a surprisingly good job of covering the pool. I found that it works best in rectangular pools, although it can get a bit confused around obstacles. If you have a larger pool, there’s a chance it might not finish cleaning on a single charge, but for most standard-sized pools, the 2.5-hour battery life is sufficient. Charging takes about four hours, which is reasonable considering the run time.In terms of convenience, this cordless model is miles ahead of the traditional, wired units I’ve used in the past. It doesn’t require any complicated setup or Wi-Fi connection—just charge, choose your cleaning mode, and let it run. The debris filter is easy to access and clean, which is another plus. While it may not get the pool as spotless as I would manually, it’s certainly clean enough for regular use and has freed up a lot of my time.Pros and ConsPros:High-Quality Construction: Feels solid and durable.Versatile Cleaning Modes: Options for bottom-only, wall, or both.Long Battery Life: Lasts up to 2.5 hours on a single charge.Easy to Use: Simple setup and operation without the need for Wi-Fi or apps.Effective Cleaning: Does a great job on the bottom and walls, including surface debris.Cons:Heavy in Water: Can be challenging to retrieve due to its weight. No Self-Return Feature: Could benefit from a feature that brings it back to the base when the battery is low.Potential for Confusion Around Obstacles: May need a second run for thorough cleaning in larger or more irregularly shaped pools.Final ThoughtsThe AIPER 2023 Seagull Pro Cordless Pool Cleaner is a robust and efficient tool for maintaining your pool with minimal effort. While it’s not perfect—particularly in terms of retrieval and obstacle navigation—it’s a significant upgrade from manual cleaning methods and wired alternatives. If you’re looking for a reliable, easy-to-use pool cleaner that will save you time and keep your pool in good condition, the Seagull Pro is an excellent choice.
Great product, I would highly recommend it But I do have a suggestion
I am reviewing the AIPER 2023 Seagull Pro Cordless Pool Cleaner Robot, Wall Climbing Pool Cleaner for Inground Pools Lasts up to 150 Mins, Quad-Motor System, Smart ....Wow.. what more can I say. I was not expecting it to work out as well as it did. I don't have a huge pool, so the charge does last a little longer than others. I like that I could set it to just to the bottom of the pool, since mine is just a cheap Walmart one, and I didn't want to chance the quality of the pool with such an expensive cleaner. I was surprised at how heavy it is in the water, which makes retrieving it a little harder for an old lady such as myself, so I would suggest maybe upgrading it so it self returns to the charging base when it is close to needing to be charged, if that is possible or not, I don't know, but it sure would be a nice feature for it. Other than that I have no complaints about this product. It is made with quality materials and workmanship. It is very obvious that a lot of thought went into making this product. I charges relatively quick, and is really easy to set up and use. I would highly recommend it to other pool owners.
Cleans only what it want
The media could not be loaded. Pros-parks itself in the same place you started it once it’s done cleaning.-easy to charge-very quiet-filter basket is easy to clean-levels itself out when you place it in the pool.-gets some of the bigger debris in the pool.Cons-stopped without a reason in front of our pool ladder, hoisted it up, checked it, plopped it back in and it was going again.-somehow got stuck in the upright position and stopped even when it was on floor only.-doesn’t clean much dirt off the bottom of our pool.-the hook to retrieve it is awkward to use and sometimes it just won’t stay on the hook. Meaning it floats down to the bottom of the pool again just to infuriate you.-while cleaning I noticed it misses some areas.-our pool isn’t big and the little guy take forever to clean, then dies before it cleans all the dirt.-when setting the dial it is really hard to see what setting you are on. They use a light as a dial indicator, but in the sun it is almost impossible to see the green light.-it is a heavy little gadget and the handle is awkward to carry.I’ve used this thing 3 times and it has missed a lot of dirt every time I’ve used it. It will clean some dirt but in my case not all of it. I actually had to manually clean the pool because it missed so much, which is why I wanted it, I don’t want to have to clean the pool. I will note that it is very quiet and does pick up some dirt. But I’ve also found it in some questionable spots where it stopped after getting itself in a pickle. I only use it for the floor and never set it to wall cleaning, but it will go slightly up the wall and then back down instead of just turning on the floor of the pool. I think mine is a bit of a diva because I find it stopped on it’s on accord more then I find it cleaning.
