I wanted to start teaching my kid some science concepts and this is a good starter set. The materials are on the thinner side but they won’t break easily. The kit has everything I need to experiment with colors and to practice using the test tubes and eye droppers. It’s not a very expensive set so that’s good. This set won’t last very long given the material used but it’ll last at least a summer full of activities.

Note this does not come with the liquids or powders to do experiments. It comes with the test tubes, beakers, goggles, etc. So I think older children would be disappointed. I ordered it for a 5-year-old, and he will love it - he will be happy to add water and food coloring, wear the goggles, call himself a scientist. But an older child would likely expect more. The items feel fairly low-quality (just thin plastic), so again, consider the age and expectations of who you are purchasing it for.

My sons love all things science related, especially doing experiments. The set we had before was well loved, so it was time to replace it with a new one. This set is a great starter kit..the items are decent quality and perfect for introducing measurements, imagination, and testing hypotheses through fun hands-on experiments. It’s been a wonderful addition to our homeschool, and I love how it encourages curiosity and critical thinking.

My toddler LOVES this kit. We used it with vegetable-based food coloring and my toddler (2.5) and his 5 year-old friend loved every minute. Between the beakers, measuring cups, and droppers, they stayed entertained for a long time. I even let my kiddo take a few pieces into the shower to explore with, and it kept him busy for 20 straight minutes! He didn’t want to stop! Everything is well made, came exactly as pictured, and I can already tell these will be used regularly in our home. Would certainly make a fantastic gift for the little scientist in your life!

It's a great set for kids and comes with everything you can find in a science lab. It is very easy for little hands to handle. Both my toddlers really like it and have had fun with it, but it does not come with any food coloring. So I did have to run out on the spot to get that. It's a good price for the set, but I would pay more to have the food coloring included.

My daughter is going to LOVE this. The pipettes work, the beakers have measurements on them, and the spill prevention for some of the beakers is a really nice touch. I love the stand, and that you can make a really fun set up for a budding scientist. I plan to use this to teach some color mixing, but also general measuring and fun playing will be great.
