Think of a small 5 inch monitor that you can screen mirror your phone onto. It has multiple issues. Especially selfies or self made videos using your higher MP camera instead of the front selfie cam.I highly recommend this well made easy to use selfie screen. The build quality is sturdy and after dropping it multiple times the screen still looks great so drop tests check out.I recommend this for the photographer

Works great. There is a slight lag to it but not enough to be bothersome. It does get very hot fairly quickly which does worry me a bit. That's the reason I have it 4 stars

I was VERY excited to get this little gem since I suppose I consider myself a "techie" and really wanted to start using the highest qaulity camera on MY phone for selfies and videos so I’ll start by saying this little LCD selfie monitor basically DOES do its job, with some effort on the part of the user! The image quality is actually really good, and once you ACTUALLY get it working, it’s definitely useful. That said, it was not smooth sailing out of the box.At first, I thought mine was defective because it simply wouldn’t show up on ANY of my iPhones. After WAY too much frustration, I finally figured out the issue: you have to change something called AWDL (Apple Wireless Direct Link) on the screen itself. This is NEVER explained or even MENTIONED in the printed instruction booklet, and unless you already know what AWDL is (I didn’t), you’d have no idea that its basically the Apple specific screen mirroring wireless channel. I suppose I didnt know simply because ALL of the screen mirroring devices I have EVER used with my iPhones in the past just "worked" .In all fairness, There IS a single, tiny sentence thats on the VERY bottom of the screen itself when you turn the screen on, but it doesn’t actually explain what AWDL even means, only how to change it using the orientation button. If you know what AWDL is, you are GOLDEN, but I had to research it on my own just to get this thing working. Hopefully my pain saves someone else the headache.Once it’s set up, the included remote is actually very solid. Its super responsive and makes starting/stopping easy. The monitor is great for framing still shots and there is no lag at all. But here’s the DOWNSIDE — if you’re actually recording video, there’s a pretty significant lag (anywhere from one to five seconds). It’s not unusable, but you definitely notice it, and it makes things feel clunky. Still, I’d rather have a delayed preview than no preview at all and its DEFINITELY better than a little mirror!Another odd quirk: the orientation button doesn’t always behave as expected. When switching between portrait and landscape, the monitor sometimes shows the image upside down , sometimes sideways, and there’s no real way to predict how it’s going to look with regards to the screen orientation when you use this button. A little trial and error is part of the "learning" process.Now with all that said, the image quality itself is EXCELLENT. Crisp, clear, and much better than trying to guess your framing blind. So while the setup is frustrating and the lag/orientation issues are real, I’m ultimately glad to have this. It’s useful, and I’ll be using it a LOT. The magnet is STRONG and the screen seems well constructed and is not super heavy. Once you get past the quirks, it connects BEAUTIFULLY. Just know going in that it’s not as polished or seamless as you might hope.

I wasn't quite sure how this worked when I ordered it but I'm absolutely thrilled now that I've got it because it works very, very well! Essentially, this product is two things - 1) a remote 4" screen that will work instantly and flawlessly with iPhone screen mirroring and 2) a remote shutter button for taking pictures. Really, this product would be far better if they'd combined the later's functionality into the former's but at this price I don't think we can complain because the product overall does the job flawlessly.The picture I've uploaded to this review is the instructions you see on the remote screen when you power it up - they're great, I think anyone could get going with these instructions easily. But I was confused overall by the two paper instructions included because the paper instructions are only for the remote shutter button product. I started trying to download the proprietary app because that's what the instructions seemed to say was the first step but it turned out I didn't even need to bother with any of that. I think many customers will be confused by this.The screen monitor part is very impressive. For the cost, the picture quality is phenomenal and its got little buttons so you can flip the image or change the brightness! Again, if one of these buttons would just do the shutter function this product would be worth twice as much but... I didn't even need to pair it with my phone, as instructed I went to the screen mirroring and it was there in the list and instantly my iPhone's screen image appeared on it! The quality of the picture is good enough for making sure you've got your shots lined up, its miles ahead of the small LCD on a $50 digital camera I acquired recently. This will be very helpful for me and I expect to see more of this type of product.

I was hesitant to grab this but man, it really does make a huge difference if you’re serious about making better videos. I hated always having to use the terrible quality front camera just so I could frame myself. This little device lets you use the high resolution camera on the back and the live view screen is bright enough to use outside which is key. Set up felt almost seamles once I got the magnet situation sorted. If you have an older device, sticking that little plate on perfectly took me like ten minutes, honestly it was a drag, but the hold is super strong after that so I guess its worth the hassle. The remote control is great for when I need to step back far away from the phone. It barely adds any weight to my bag, which is a big plus. Battery life seems good too I used it continuously for a few hours without needing a charge. Solid investment for the final result.
