This weed eater is lightweight. We plugged the battery in to let it charge overnight so it would be ready to use the next day. Our item was missing some screws used to attach the handle. Once we found some screws at home that would fit, we put the weed eater to use in our yard. It worked well for our needs. It has single line for weeding. It would have worked faster with a dual line. Overall for our residential use, it worked well.

Let me start by saying I have several complaints, but overall I genuinely DO like this string trimmer. My biggest issue is that the string does not auto-advance—at least, not effectively in my experience. If it's designed to, it doesn’t work reliably. I had to stop frequently, flip the trimmer over, press the release button, and manually pull more line every few feet. That’s a serious disruption, especially when cutting through tougher grass. If I could just tap to advance the string like most trimmers, I could get the job done much faster.Besides the string feed, this trimmer otherwise performs surprisingly well. It has enough torque to power through various tough grass species common in Missouri; the diameter of string provided wears down quickly, and without an effective feed system, you can’t make full use of the motor's capability. I prefer twin-string setups and will definitely be looking to upgrade the head.Ergonomic design is well thought out; the head pivots to allow a more natural cutting angle based on your height or grip, and the shaft adjusts for an additional point of extension. It’s easy to fold down and would fit in a car trunk with no trouble. There’s even a durable, oversized plastic nut that tightens by hand—much better than thumb screws or bolts.Battery life is another high point. Without charging, I trimmed around my 60x32 building and several trees, and still had power left. It runs continuously without cutting out, unlike some other battery trimmers I’ve used, which makes it well-suited for edging along long stretches of sidewalk or fence.The shield orientation feels off compared to what I’m used to, and it wobbles a bit with no obvious way to tighten it. It might just take getting used to, but it adds to the slightly awkward feel. The edging wheel works decently if you walk backward and drag it, though once the filament wears down too short, edging becomes ineffective—again, due to the line issue.Several pre-strung replacement spools are included, which is a thoughtful touch for users who aren’t comfortable winding their own line. For a neatly maintained yard, these would probably work just fine. Based on my needs, I will likely upgrade to a more durable head that can accommodate twin 0.80 string due to the tough species of grass in my area.At the current price (around $60) with two included batteries, it’s an excellent value—if you’re willing to swap out the head or only need it for light maintenance work. For heavy trimming or frequent use, the line feed flaw seriously limits its practicality, but for light residential use, I actually recommend it above my other cordless trimmer.

The media could not be loaded. Got this for a stubborn elder family member that refuses to let others do the yard work.This item is way lighter and easier to maneuver than a gas powered weed eater. Weight was a very big concern when shopping for a suitable trimmer.Also since it's electric there is no worries about mixing and/or running out of gas.Battery life is beyond sufficient and considering there are 2 batteries that is plenty of time to get yourself miserable sweaty.The adjustable handle and trimmer head are designed perfectly to adapt to whatever is being cut which a click of the button.We spent time teaching all the safety features and tips to our family member and they are very happy.The only thing I could see for improvement is the small trimmer line heads seem to be wound really tight and are a smaller diameter line. Taking that into consideration unwinding the line and rewinding existing line helps in feeding.The safety glasses and gloves included were better received by our family member as 'it came with the kit' .. so there was no disagreement on safety usage.Would be interested to see if it could tolerate a metal blade, but that's to be determined.In short, it's light, gas-less, durable, and works well.

Well, you could spend $200 on a cordless weed wacker at Home Depot or Lowes, but it wouldn't be nearly the value that this one is. I don't know how long it will last, but for $60, if it goes for a few years, I'm good. Simple design, but it works fine. You can't expect more than about 15 minutes per battery, but you can get a lot done in that time. Great for someone with a small yard that you need to clean up every week or so, but not the best if you are tall. Go ahead, wack them weeds!

We had high hopes for this, but we're now disappointed.It's easy to use. The motor and battery are great. It seems built fairly ok. It's much lighter than our gas trimmers. This things Achilles' heel is the line feed. It doesn't work well at all. It's the worst we've ever seen on a trimmer. It constantly jams and almost never advances. If you go through the hassle of replacing the string head, it may be great. However, for us, it's inability to feed and constant jams have landed it in the trash.
