Absolutely love this set! I really just needed the 3/8” ratchet but decided to get this set. Its very nicely made with a good feel in your hand.

MTO: 3-Piece 90-Tooth Ratchet Wrench Set, ¼”, ⅜”, & ½”-Drive Ratchets w/4° Swing Arc & Quick ReleaseThis is an impressive wrench set.This product is a collection of three ratchet wrenches that have a 90-tooth ratchet mechanism. The three ratchet wrenches are provided in the standard ¼”, ⅜" & ½”-drive patterns. The inclusion of the 90-tooth ratchet mechanism in the design means that the wrench only requires a 4° swing arc to engage the next tooth in the ratchet mechanism. This makes working in very tight quarters easier when trying to advance the wrench. I have also noted the change lever (used for changing the rotational direction) operates particularly smooth on this set of wrenches. This is very much appreciated as age makes your hands more sensitive to things like this. This wrench design also includes a “Quick Release” mechanism for loading and removing sockets and extensions from the tool’s anvil. This makes using the tool just that much easier. The wrench handles are 5.9, 7.8, and 9.8-inches long.This body of these wrenches are forged from Chromium-Vanadium alloy steel. The Chromium-Vanadium alloy steel is employed for hardness, tensile strength, toughness, fine-grain structure of the steel, and finally, wear resistance. After the forging process, the steel forgings would be finish-machined, heat treated, and polished. These wrenches are then be electrically plated with a smooth black finish in what is called an electrophoretic finish (also called an “E-Coating” finish). My research has indicated that this process essentially applies paint particles in a liquid medium where the paint particles are attracted to the metal surface by an electrical current. The use of the electrical current causes the particles to accumulate evenly across the entire surface of the tool, inside and outside, regardless of the positioning or contour of the tool’s surface. The part is then removed from the liquid medium, dried, and then placed into a curing oven where the exposure to the heat melts and cross-links the paint particles into a hard, durable, and continuous protective layer. The hardened layer provides for an even, smooth, beautiful, and corrosion resistant surface.The ratchet and anvil parts of this wrench are forged from Chromium-Molybdenum alloy steel. The choice of the Chromium-Molybdenum alloy steel (Chrome-Moly) allows the tool components to be made of a very strong steel with a high tensile strength, which can be forged, machined, and finely finished using modern machinery and techniques. Tools made from Chromium-Molybdenum alloy steel will stand up to very high stresses, are durable, and are resistant to wear, rust, and corrosion. They are forged, machined, heat treated, finish ground, and finally, the finish is applied. The finish of these parts appears to be a fine-grained, very smooth black manganese phosphate finish that is very tough and well suited for this application. The manufacturer of these tools has chosen the best steel alloys and finishes for each major part of these tools.In addition, these tools are supplied in a custom cut and labelled foam block designed for the safe and proper storage of these tools. This foam block would ideally be placed directly into a drawer of the user’s tool box. The shape of these tool’s handles quite closely resembles the legacy Snap-On wrench design. The old Snap-On wrenches are my absolute favorites even if they do not have the 90-tooth ratchet mechanism that this tool has. The legacy Snap-On wrench design is one of the best ratchet shapes ever designed. The manufacturer’s name (MTO) is laser-etched onto the tool’s handle in its logo style.I very much like these tools and they are a very nice addition to my tool set. I particularly like the black finish of these wrenches. I am very happy with my acquisition.

bought this set of ratcheting wrenches for their industrial look and tool-truck-style handles (similar to Snap-on or Mac Tools), which provide excellent ergonomics. The handles feature a comfortable, slightly textured grip that stays secure even with greasy hands during extended use.The quick-release socket button is smooth, responsive, and reliable with no accidental disengages mid-job.They feel substantial and well-balanced with solid steel construction, so they don’t fatigue your wrist in prolonged sessions. They’re especially easy to maneuver in tight or confined spaces, like around exhaust manifolds, suspension components, or engine bays where standard wrenches struggle. I’ve used them weekly for the past 3 months on weekend car projects with no binding or issues.The ratcheting mechanism is impressively smooth for the price, with fine gearing for small arc swings (about 5 degrees), matching the feel of premium tool-truck brands with no skipping or back-drag so far.Durability has been great. I’ve dropped them multiple times from shoulder height (5 to 6 feet) onto concrete garage floors while working on my vehicle, and they show only minor light scratches with no chipping, flaking, or loss of function. The sockets and wrenches stay tight with no play.They’ve proven very corrosion-resistant in my humid Georgia garage, exposed to occasional rain splash, morning dew, and high summer humidity, without any pitting or rust after months.Outstanding value: reliable, smooth-ratcheting tools with a professional feel at a fraction of tool-truck prices. This design is practically identical to my dad's old snapon ratchets.Having used these a few times in the last month, I do like them.The design is easy to hold unless slick with oil then they can easily spin in your hands as they are smooth.One thing I immediately noticed was the socket release button has just the right amount of tension and you don't have to push too hard to get it to work.Socket fitment is quite good with no undo play or slop.The 90 tooth ratchet mechanism feels like it gets a good bite and will take some serious torque.At least the tool box organizer these come in has a nice slot for easily grabbing these ratchets. I have a few others that are far from convenient to use.There are a lot of these on the market under many brand names so the price is pretty competitive.I have replaced the old ratchets that I use on a near daily basis with this set because of the style and so far great performance.

I ordered this set of good quality ratchets for my garage where I do a lot of car repairs. These are very nice feeling ratchets with great 90 degree tooth precision rotation. These have very good fine rotation and work great. The only thing I ran across is when you switch the direction lever it sometimes stops in the middle between directions and allows the ratchet to free spin in either direction. Not a huge problem but it did make you change the lever a second time to get it to click in to position. Because of this I dropped my rating one star. I would order these again and recommend these to others. I like the foam holder for the tool chest but as far as functional it would be better if it came in a hard plastic case instead. That is just my preference and does not change the fact the ratchets are very nice quality and feel.
