I’m new to the mesh and not knowing what radio to buy the descriptions made this one very easy. It works great, but you do have to change out the antenna. The one that comes with it does not do very good only about a mile and a half after changing out the antennas I am now getting 6 miles very good product. Very easy to assemble. Watched a couple of YouTube videos and it was done.

Decent little unit. Took me longer to flash due to Window$ 11 than it took to put it together.BLE works fine, gps tracks better than my H2 T114 node, and connected flawlessly to android and iOS. I did sand the edges of the case down, as there was still rough edges from the printing process. My goal is to (at some point) attempt to make this water resistant with some gasket if material and rubber plugs. It’s been on since I charged it up last night, and still retains 80% battery from sitting overnight, so it’s not draining itself over 6-7 hours. The boards (Heltec V4 & GPS) fit snugly, and I haven’t experienced any slop or loose noises. The antenna feels like…*meh*. It leaves a lot to be desired, but it works for its intended local purposes.The bad - initial flashing through the Meshtastic flasher website drove me insane. I finally ended up on Reddit looking for clues, and landed on a USB CL210X (with serial enumerated) drivers that FINALLY (after 2 hours) did the trick and opened the correct COM port on my W11 PC.Overall, I’d say this was worth the ~$55 that I paid. It’s a pretty straight forward assembly process, and I’d be happy (now that I figured out the flashing) to get another one, or at least recommend this to a friend.

This case is awesome. Really designed well. And good quality. Everything fits perfectly, with just the right amount of space for all the wires. I'd buy again.

I’ve bought 6 of these so far and gifted them to a number of family members so we can talk all around CO. The design is intuitive and they assemble easily with the help of YouTube. They are a great value for what they are capable of. They fit easily in a backpack so they are very portable. You have to flash them from the Meshtastic website but once that’s done, you can connect and talk to people hundreds of miles away.

the Lora antenna adapter thread is too short for the case if the nut is attached. Screwing the antenna in without the nut will assure solid connection. The housing holding the adapter is too thick. The battery connector is very tight to the edge. The v4 connectors for battery and solar are mounted so the cable exits to outside edge causing a short squeeze Against the case edge. Solved by routing one lead upwards and one downwards. This also requires the battery to be connected and activating the board so make sure the antenna is connected before or turn of transmit before any mechanical work. One also has to be careful one using the screws to not drop them on the boards while affixing it into the case. Looks like oversights by the board or case designer. But otherwise a nice case

Over all the unit seems to be work good, however I can't get the battery to charge past 55 % at 3.67 volts and it has been charging for over 12 hrs now.

This node is great! The kit is like a setup kit, the antenna isn’t anything special, but the case and the whole setup is just excellent! Keep in mind that the Heltec V4 board comes with all hardware that normally comes with THE BOARD itself. The nut and washer is not necessary! If you choose to use the nut, it broadcasts, but the antenna barely makes contact. If you just remove the nut and also exclude the washer, it will have a much better mechanical connection. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase! I hope more people get into LoRa radio and support open-source-friendly companies like Meshnology. I am going to be getting more of their kits in the future for sure. Great work Heltec, Meshnology, and Meshtastic.

Good looking product but as of 2 emails ago I have yet to receive customer support I’m having radio connectivity issues and don’t not know if I have a defective device I have been browsing forums for information to help but it says it should work as soon as I picked up nodes I have since picked up over 480+ nodes and only way to send a message is over mqtt witch is internet sending not radio
Good quality 3D printing. Everything fits and works as it should.
I'm having great fun with this. The 3D printed holder seems well made and everything fits as it should. For an oldie like me, I need the comfort of some instructions but you can find lots of help online, or ask any of the AI chat apps.

Exactly what I needed, this case fitted my HELTEC V4 and 3000mah pillow battery. No messing around with fitment. Easy to put together.

Grundsätzlich ein gutes Set
Ich kann die Kommentare zum Antennenstecker nicht nachvollziehen. Man schraubt einfach die Mutter ab, entfernt die beiden Ringe und kann die Antenne dann von innen in eine Sechskantaussparung schieben und von oben mit der Mutter festziehen - fertig :)Bedenklich finde ich, dass die Bilderanleitung auf Bolo (mitgeliefert wird keine) die Antenne erst ganz am Ende aufschrauben lässt. Das ist grob fahrlässig, die Antenne sollte man immer draufschrauben BEVOR man die Batterie anschließt.Ein weiterer Kritikpunkt von meiner Seite: Das Display sitzt relativ ungeschützt im Gehäuse. Hier hätte eine Schutzfolie auf der Vorderseite geholfen.Alles andere scheint in Ordnung. Besonders gut haben mir die Inlays für die Muttern gefallen. Damit kann man die Schrauben ordentlich anziehen. Die Klebepads für Batterie und GPS-Antenne kann man sich damit dann sparen und bis auf die Tasten klappert nichts mehr.Und da kommen wir noch zu einem Kritikpunkt: Das Gehäuse und die Tasten verdecken die LEDs des V4 leider komplett! Man bekommt also keine Heartbeat-LED und keinen Ladestatus angezeigt. Und hier möchte ich an den Hersteller appelieren, dass man die Buttons doch transparent drucken sollte. So schränkt man die Funktionalität leider unnötig ein.
