What drew me to this controller was the performance specs, button layout, and shape. I was predominately an Xbox Series controller guy. I wanted something similar but with a higher polling rate and no drift sticks. At first feel I can say that it felt comfortable in the hands. However, I was a bit hesitant to like the feel of the buttons, triggers, and sticks at first. It also felt light, which to me translated into being/feeling cheap at the time. I think I’ve seen a few reviews here saying something similar about its quality (feeling or sounding cheap). Could this be a result of using cheaper plastics? I don’t know. More on that later… What made me rethink the aforementioned was actually playing my favorite titles with it. The best way to describe it is that it’s fast/responsive and comfortable. The way it’s designed (shape and button placement along foremost) is, what I think, gives it that quick feel. Face buttons are slightly more raised than Xbox series with just the right amount of resistance. Easy to navigate through with your thumb. Best buttons that I have used for 2 button actions. Very satisfying. Less resistance on the triggers vs Xbox series. Didn’t like that at first, but when I saw how the fast trigger pulls were also showing up on the screen (no noticeable delay), I was sold. Now, I have owned Hall effect sticked controllers in the past. Never liked them because of the feel (over tensioned). However, these sticks feel great. Because of the tension adjustment, and how great they feel and perform after dialing them in, I will never go back to anything else. Rumble is not my favorite compared to some that I have felt, but it’s good. No problem with it. This has more to do with subjectivity than good/bad. As of today, this is the best overall controller I have ever owned. I have owned more expensive/better spec’d controllers, but none that strike the balance of this controller. I like this controller so much that it got me curious about their other controllers. I have a Vader 5 arriving today! Going back to that “cheap feel” I mentioned earlier. After having played with this lighter controller for 2 weeks, I gotta say that I actually prefer it more. It tires my hands less and it’s part of what gives it that quick feel. I’m actually starting to question if Flydigi went with this plastic for cost reduction or for performance. If they did go cheap on the plastic, then it’s only a testimony to their great engineering team. To get this kind of controller using cheap materials is impressive, to say the least.

This is currently one of the best value controllers on the market. For 40 bucks, you get a controller that has reasonably low latency, hall effect sticks with tension control, macros, turbo, gyro, and the ability to change the analog triggers to hair triggers! Not to mention two extra macro buttons on the back!Matte finish feels great, provides a good grip. Front buttons are very responsive. D-pad is okish, could be better. Battery life will last enough for any long gaming session. Also the optional dock is SUPER convenient. Must have.There’s nothing to hate here. This thing rivals the Cyclone 2 from Gamesir, and I would still pick the Direwolf 4 over it, even if I wanted TMR sticks.

As an avid controller collector, I’m quite confident when I say this is the best value controller on the market, period. It might be the best bang for the buck controller ever even. If you asked me to guess the price of the Direwolf 4 before I knew it was $40, I would’ve told you $70 if not $80. That’s partly because controllers are insanely expensive, but also because this thing has way more value than it reasonably should. My only complaints are that, while the Flydigi software is the best software I’ve used for a controller yet, it’s still finicky and clunky to work with. And the other odd shortcoming, which is the face buttons feel weird. Every other button and component feels genuinely good to great, but somehow the face buttons feel a little hollow. Anyway. It’s insane to me that this controller has more features than a Series S controller, and so high quality, and it’s at a fraction of the cost at $40. I’ve heard Flydigis quality assurance and quality control has been really bad for the Apex and Vader, but speaking purely about my experience with the Direwolf 4, it’s the best controller you can get by value, no debate. It’s not perfect mind you, but it’s better than anything else in recent memory.

This is hands down THE best controller ever. Way better than Xbox in every way and literally half the price. You can control how stiff you need the joysticks to be, the switches at the back allows you to complete well with PC games because of the response time, and this works with every device I have (PC, MacBook, IPad, Nintendo switch). The built in battery has lasted for about 14 hours from my observation. It could probably go longer. The use of magnetic joysticks means NO MORE STICK DRIFT. It even feels better on driving games and I feel more accurate in fps games. I am now a fan of this brand after having tried them for a month. I will never buy a regular Xbox controller again! I’ve bought over 10 or so since 2013. And this seems like it’s built for the long run.

I really like this controller, the sticks feel really good the buttons are really good, the d-pad is fine its good enough. I don't kow how long it will last but I will find out.
