These transformers are all pretty much the same. 120 VAC in, 24 VAC out. Technically, this one operates at 28 VAC out with no load, which is normal.So what sets these transformers apart? Two things. First, the spacing on the mounting bracket. While you can certainly screw in a new hole with a self-tapping screw, it would be preferable to use the existing holes. Second, the connectors come in different configurations. Some will have four tabs for connecting wires. Some have all the wires permanently affixed. Some are half and half. In the case of this transformer, the 120V wires are hardwired. The 120V connectors fit right on my board. However, the 24VAC wires did not fit as the transformer I was replacing had smaller connectors (visible in the second picture). Not a big deal to change those out, but something to be aware of.

I used this transformer to replace a burned out component on my Goodman 5 ton air handler. The installation was super easy and took about 10 minutes. It took longer to climb up in the hot attic then it took to replace the transformer. This is a plug and play item but you should be familiar with electrical power and shut the breaker off before install. The size and shape of the unit looks very close to OEM. It functions perfectly and my A/C is running cold again. Great value and much more affordable than the OEM. Recommended
