5.0 out of 5 stars Great wrap
I’m 5”7, 125 pounds, got a small, perfect. Fits like it says, stays on better over thin , tight shirt. When I wear it over my scrubs, it stays in place while standing etc, but sitting it rises some, as to be expected. Helps my posture which is why I bought it, to help shift my pelvis. Easy to hand wash, dries quickly, great straps that stay in place, great product
4.0 out of 5 stars Guess The Size, Win A Prize! Works Well Where It Fits Me, Decently Made With Non-Slip Rubber Strips
NOTE: The ends of the side straps have velcro (the rough 'hooks' side), and on mine the velcro was covered with little patches to keep them from catching on anything before use. They need to be removed before they're useful, and they can be kept or thrown away because they're not necessary to use the belt. There was no size chart when I ordered, so I had to guess. I'm pear-shaped; my waist currently measures about 40" and my hips are about 47-48". Size Lg was the largest available to order, and I measured this belt as soon as I got it.It's 51.5" from end to end, and the material is a little stretchy as expected. There is 10" of soft 'loop' area for the velcro 'hook' end to attach to. This tells me that it would probably fit measurements from around 42" to 50" (because it does have to overlap some to attach the velcro), but that's a very rough guess based on my own body. It's best to measure before ordering this.It does fit a bit loosely around my 40" waist, just barely before I run out of 'loop' velcro to attach the end to, but the two side straps snug it up a little more.It fits my 47-48" hips very well, which was my main concern. I have arthritis in my lower back (lower than my waist) and my hips give me issues from time to time, so I can use this for compression & stability on either of those areas. I was holding my breath about the size, but luckily this one turned out okay.It fits well while new, and those side straps do help whenever I need to adjust. There are a few rubbery strips on the belt's interior that keep it from sliding around, which is handy. This seems well made, but only time will tell if it will last a while before the elastic is done wanting to stretch, which has happened with other braces I've owned. For now, still new, I'll rate this 4 stars. Hopefully they will add a size chart to the page's main photos.
5.0 out of 5 stars Belt for sacroiliac joint support that applies strong tension for intense support
Viela SI Belt, Sacroiliac Belt, Breathable 3D Knit—I ordered this sacroiliac support belt because now that my husband has need of one, he's taken "mine". Turns out, I like this one better than previous ones I've owned. The material of the main belt is lighter and more breathable than the neoprene-like fabric in other belts. The fasteners use a newer type of hook & loop that has finer hooks that grips well without using a lot of material to make the connection. A thoughtful touch is the covers on the ends of the straps used to adjust tension—on first glance I thought maybe they had forgotten the "velcro" but no, they had included these covers to protect the hook material. I will be hanging on to these because in our pet-hair filled home, "velcro" can have short lifespan unless cared for well!. The larger hook fastener on the main belt can be protected by storing the belt with the hook end attached to the fuzz end.I compared the support tension from this one and from the one my husband has commandeered and this one provides more tension, more support. One reason for that is that the tightener belts that you wrap from the back to the front on top of the main belt are not stretchy. Instead they are a light seatbelt-like material that loops through a pulley and exerts as strong a tension as you'd like (within the limits of the "velcro" of course, but it's pretty strong). It's easy to put on. Just like other SI joint belts I've had, you wrap the main belt and fasten the "velcro" in the front with some tension, then pull the secondary straps as tight as you like and fasten them in the front. The lightweight fabric makes it less hot to wear on summer days or while exercising.I ordered a "Large" based on my hip size (45") and it fits well. It is generous, but not too big. I saw the review from the person who found the belt too large to work despite also having a 45" hip size and I don't know why we have had such different experiences. Maybe the other person starts out with the belt much tighter than I do? If so, I don't think that degree of tension is needed, because of the extra tension the non-stretchy secondary straps exert. Another possibility is that there is variability in the construction of the SI belts. I'm just speculating. I can't discount the other person's experience, but for me, the belt is a good size. My photo shows how it fits me. Keep in mind that it may take some adjustment as with any such support, to find the right level of tension and position of the belt to relieve your pain.
