This softstart works on my Coleman Mach (3) A/C pretty well. The softer start is noticeable especially when using the generator for power versus shore power. I found this well designed, solid, and overall a good quality. A quality "touch" that I appreciate is the wire ends are tinned, making installation easier.This is an easy installation, and if you do your research and gather the proper materials beforehand, the installation is about 15-20 minutes, depending on your comfort in very minor electrical work.You'll see in the first photo the underlined STA02, that's because there is also an STA01. This is important when it comes to following the enclosed instructions, which provide a link to their support site. Use it! By model (01/02) the provide specific instruction for the model of AC, based on manufacturer. Use these. If you do that, and follow the instructions (including the safety instructions) you should have no problem installing this correctly.After installation there is a "training period" where you should be using shore power only. For the STA02 on my Coleman Mach, the installation and training took just about 1 hour. The support site is simple, but very easy to follow. I printed the instructions for my model and to use while installing.This softitart is a great value, especially at it's current price point and that it reduces the stress on the AC (and generator) at startup in should prolong the AC life. I'm glad I installed it.

Works as designed. I run my AC off of my lithium batteries, so it is important that I have a soft start to minimize the load as the compressor kicks on. This delivers that for me very well. Installation is simple with the comprehensive instructions that are available through a link they give you. You will have to search for your particular model of air conditioner, but the list appears to include just about every model that you will find on an RV or camper. Once you find your particular model, follow the instructions and you will be up and running in no time.Make sure you mount it securely and in a place where the opening for the wires will not allow water to enter. I had mine mounted flat to the bottom of the unit and in a very heavy rain storm, water built up there and shorted out my first one. Easy fix and I remounted the device in a way that it would be very hard for water to intrude going forward.The case is built well and I would not say it is faulty because water got in. It was more of where I mounted it that caused the issue and should not be a common problem for anyone.

My wife and I have a travel trailer we like to use and it has two air conditioner units on the roof. Although our RV is 50 Amps when they both air conditioners kick on it can be a drain on not only the electrical system but hard on the air conditioning units too.The Aoteda Store soft start kit for RV air conditioners solves this little delimma, This soft start does basically what it says. When the thermostat calls for cooling and the air conditioner kick on this device will limit the amount of electricity being delivered when it first comes on preventing the system from coming on full blast all at one time at start up. This reduces the electrical load at tart up, makes the system run quieter, reduces stress on the air conditioner allowing it to last longer, and allows the use of a generator to power your RV with the air conditioner on.The kit comes with everything needed to install and the instructions are easy to understand. You are basically wiring this device between the existing wires on your air conditioner so no new wiring is needed.

Pretty straight forward kit. The soft start obviously helps lower the inrush load helping run what would be 30 amp circuit on a 20 amp circuit without tripping a breaker. If he quality is nice and the kid comes with directions and connections to help make installation easier. This is a nice have for when you may be stuck in a situation where you need to run on a small circuit or somewhere more permanent like at the house. Functions and works well, delivers necessary power to run the AC .

I got this for my rv to use less energy and it does exactly that. Idont quite know how they work but it turns on things individually to drop the energy used at startup. So far it's working great and you can clearly see it drop the energy use. The price on these given the quality is well worth it. It makes no noise outside of a couple clicks and install was like 4 wires and directions are provided.
