I live off grid with solar panels and my main concern was the electricity draw and longevity of the product. First off, for a machine that makes the amount of ice this little guy does, it is GREAT on electricity. Secondly it is super easy to set up and get started and it only takes about 5-10 minutes to make a batch of ice (about enough to fill a pint glass). I have not yet run it long enough to fill my entire cooler, but I’d say if that was your goal it would probably take about 24 hours of concecutive run time. The ice basket fills up rather quickly and it shuts off automatically when full, so you have to be present to empty it when it is otherwise it it will wait until enough ice has melted to start making more. All In all I think it is a great little ice maker and when i eventually upgrade I’ll be stoked to run it in the bar for drinks when company is over.

The media could not be loaded. This icemaker works great! I paid about 60 bucks with shipping and had it in 4 days. It's just what I wanted for my office and for summer camping in my tiny vintage trailer! 115v pull and I can even use it in my Toyota Highlander outlet when I am tent camping. It makes ice quickly and efficiently. 9 bullets in 7ish minutes. The water reservoir catches the melting ice and remakes new ice with it - so your ice is always fresh! The scoop wasn't secured when it shipped, so it did ding up the clear cover. Other than that, I have no complaints and am very happy to have this little ice maker. Video is taken in a very quiet office, so you can hear how loud it runs. It's about the same level as a fan on your desk or in a tower computer. The loudest part is the dropping ice, though it's not as loud as the video portrays because I was so close to it so I could share how it works. I highly recommend this item.

Performs the same as the other counter top ice machines that I've had. This one is NOT designed as well, though. The ice basket is wide and thin which prohibits the ice from falling "away." The ice then builds up quickly and triggers the "basket full" protocol and the machine stops making ice with only 1/3 of a batch of ice.

I've waited two weeks to review this ice maker just to be sure we like it, and WE DO!!! We've debated getting one for years. We loved the small foot print and the great price (under $50.) It's very quiet and very fast. Ice quality is very good.NOTE: At first we thought the cubes were a bit thin and small; but to our surprise, they actually get bigger and thicker after going into a container in the freezer for a few hours! No complaints at all, five stars.

Works very well-6-7 minutes for 12 pieces of ice. Size of the ice, not so good. Small is about the size of my pinky and the large is 50% larger than the small. The basket is easy to take out and dump into my fridge/freezer. The ice will melt quickly if you don't pull them out.The ice is made around pegs, you can actually watch the ice forming. So the cubes have holes in them. Pictures show the size of the large ice in my hand, then the "freezing tubes". I don't really understand why the top has to be clear thin plastic covers, if they were more insulated the device may work better.Funny coincidence, my wife just had jury duty and the jury room had one of these sitting then running...Con: I don't know what kind of blue tape they used to "hold things together for shipping". It took me 10 minutes to remove 2 pieces of tape!
