I have an adult daughter who loves to do these diamond art things. I admit to being curious, so I invested in a small kit that a 10 year old granddaughter will probably enjoy. I decided to try it out for a few minutes. The kit is designed to appeal to a child. It contains everything you need to make a pre-designed picture. You just open the diamonds and put them onto the canvas where the pattern indicates. The canvas has an adhesive coating that clings to the gems you place on it. There is a small frame included for displaying your finished picture. A few caveats. I think you would need to work carefully to make sure to keep the adhesive on the canvas from getting dusty. Once you have placed a gem, it is not easy to move it. As you open packages of gems, there are a few empty tiny plastic bags for containing gems that have not been used yet. There are NOT enough so you can open all the packages of gems at once. You either have to work carefully to place all of the gems from a particular package right away, or you are going to have to find some more bags or something to hold diamonds that are waiting to be used. Not an insurmountable problem, but good to be prepared so an enthusiastic artist does not end up with a bunch of colors mixed together and spilled into the carpet never to be seen again.

My granddaughter enjoyed doing the real craft of Diamond Art. She chose to do the owl and right away was excited by the glittery gems.This was our introduction to diamond art and the kit made it simpler and fun.It takes thought, a little coordination and patience to work with the smaller gems. I was impressed that she stuck to it. For me, it caused too much eyestrain.The kit comes with everything you need with instructions on the back of the box.She is not done with it yet and I will post a photo when she is.

This is a really cute diamond painting kit and it had all the necessary supplies included. I really like that it came with a white frame that it looks adorable in. The kit was easy and fun to use and overall seems to be good quality. I also like this size of diamond painting because I can finish it in one sitting.

This kit comes flat with instructions on the back. The individual bags of gems and drills are not resealable, but there are 5 little plastic zip lock bags that come with the kit, so you can put your drills away and not lose any.The owl picture has all the numbers/letters marked corresponding to the numbers/letters on each little plastic envelope of drills or gemstones. The drills come in both solid and gemstone finishes - different sizes and colors of round and eye-shaped drills.This would probably be best for an older child 8+ or adult who knows the process of diamond painting.Time requirement involves opening the drill packages needed, setting up a simple workstation (drill tray included) and then setting the individual drills in their respective place on the picture. Then once the owl is finished, you just have to open the frame and place inside.Overall, this is a cute owl picture with many different colored drills to make into a nice framed sparkly owl.

This is a fun project. The kit comes with everything you need - the picture (which is sticky so the diamonds stick), jewels, little tray and applicator, and frame. My kid started the project and decided to take a break after 15 minutes. Its an easy project but will just take time. I think this is a good project that gives an alternative option to screen time. This will look super cure when completed. I think its at a good price point for what you get, making it a fair value.

This kit comes with everything that you'll need to complete and display it: picture, frame, 15 packets of gem pieces of various colors, shapes and sizes, 5 tiny ziplock bags for storing loose pieces, an applicator pen, two small wax squares and a tray for holding the pieces that your working on.The picture itself is 6" x 6" and the frame is 7" x 7"I was pleasantly surprised to find the painted, wooden (not plastic) frame for displaying the finished artwork. It has standard picture frame hardware on the back for wall or table top display.The only downside, and it's a little thing, is the lack of more little ziplock bags.In general, I'm really pleased with this kit and I recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and creative past time.
