Although these pouches are sold as “money bags,” I’m at a loss as to what makes them money bags as opposed to any other kind of bags. They certainly can hold money. I’ve tested them with a Mexican 5 peso coin, a Turkish one lira, a Tanzanian 1 shilling, and a 5 kira note from Papua New Guinea, and in each case the bag proved that it could, indeed, hold money. I couldn’t find my Icelandic kronur, but I’m confident that the bags would have been equal to that task as well. If you have money that requires holding, rest assured that these bags will do the job. (Unless you happen to be from Yap, where the money consists of stones too large to move, let alone to put in bags. I’ve been reliably informed that for smaller transactions, the Yapese also accept payment in American beer, particularly the kind that my then-teenage sister once referred to as “Buzzwider” after having enjoyed a few more than she should. I am not making any of this up.)And so back to the bags. These are zipper pouches made of flexible and slightly shiny black vinyl, with an interior that sort of feels like thin neoprene but probably isn’t. On each bag, there is a clear vinyl sleeve containing a white card with lines on it, presumably for you to write on. That’s it. The zippers work well, the seams seem to be adequately sewn, and the pouches only smelled horrible for a short time after I opened the package. It’s now a day or two after I received them, and they don’t smell like anything in particular any more, which is a good thing. If you have things that need to be held, these bags will hold them. The body of the pouches is waterproof. I doubt that the zipper or the seams are waterproof, so the bag will protect its contents from a sudden spill but not from immersion in liquid for more than an extremely brief time. The seller does not claim that these pouches are fireproof and I am not going to test that, because I think they would melt and smell really, really bad.These pouches will hold an 8 1/2 by 11 inch piece of paper folded in thirds, or in half, with room to spare. They’re not made to expand, so don’t expect them to hold a file cabinet’s worth of stuff. I’m planning to use mine to hold medical receipts (because taxes). I need something easy to stuff papers into and easily identifiable as the thing I use to stuff my medical receipts into, instead of the thing I use to hold the half-finished sock I started knitting four years ago or the thing I use to hold cat treats when somebody has to go to the vet. These bags will do the job. If you need them, get them.

6x11 inch bank bags, PU (polyurethane) “leather'. Lightweight. Zipper on the 11 inch top, zipped fine. I have several bank bags, they are so useful for sorting important papers. And what's more important than all those dollar bills you have been saving up from your coin jar?I really like the addition of the label pocket, none of my others have one. If you do the 'cash envelope' budget method, you will find that these really come in handy. Sort your bills and payments, save and keep track of paper receipts, protect your warranty cards and papers too. They are quite large and roomy. Easily fill with #10 envelopes with room to spare.Mine holds over ten thousand dollars in mixed denomination....JUST KIDDING......I don't have ten thousand dollars! Unless it's in Monopoly money, and then it would hold even more! But here's my secret: every time I go to town, I save out all the dollar bills and five dollar bills I get in change, on top of the change for the change jar. You would be surprised how fast they add up and go to the bank! If I didn't do that, I would never save a dime. And when you live on a hobby farm, you NEED emergency money!! but, I'm getting off track, sorry.Not a lot more to say, these are nice, soft, lightweight bags, made for your budget and important papers. Keep those papers handy to grab if you ever have to evacuate! Birth certificates, car titles, trailer and camper titles, deeds to property, copies of drivers license's , important medical records.These bags hold a lot.One complaint: OMG THEY STINK!! horrible chemical off gassing, I had to put them out on the front porch to air out!! it was so strong, it made me feel ill. Can't be good for you.....if they don't improve, I will wipe them down with baking soda, and maybe spray with hand sanitizer. Lord knows I have LOTS of hand sanitizer left over from Covid......So, lose a star for now due to stink. Will update if it doesn't clear up soon!!UPDATE: two days/nights on the open front porch in this cool spring weather, they smell 95% less bad. brought them into the house, much improved. still considering a drop of some kind of 'smell well' on the inside tho. leaving at 4 stars.

I obtained these banking money bags not for banking use, but to house my ever expanding makeup brush assortment. In one bag, I have 22 large brushes and sponges, and there is still room for more. The sides are supple and soft, with a rather generic look, but functionality is perfect for my application. Plus, there are two!The zipper is sturdy and easy to open and close, and the bottom and side seams are tight, sturdy and unimposing. These zipper pouch bags work great, keeping money and coins in and dust and liquid out. The zipper moves smoothly and doesn’t easily get stuck, which is nice, and the “leather” feels nice to the touch. Out of inspiration from the Alleyway Oracles and Tarot, I’ve been using bank pouches like this to hold my tarot decks, and it works GREAT. I’ve been really happy with this one, especially since it’s a pretty roomy size.
