Amazingly similar to regular brown sugar. I tasted this straight from the bag, and it's like the real thing. Minus 1 star as the resealable bag is terrible. It won't close. I had to shove the entire bag in a zipper quart bag. I used it in beef teriyaki and it added just enough sweetness to my sauce.

A bit over a year ago, I made a decision to cut down on sugar. I used to drink soda or sugary iced teas with just about every meal for decades. Just giving up the sodas and iced teas led me to lose my belly fat and 13 lbs over the course of the year. Would have lost more weight if I hadn't also taken up strength training building up muscle.Truvia has made it easy for me to enjoy my coffee or tea without adding any sugar. No aftertaste and really tastes a lot like sugar. What's the best thing about it is that it is ZERO calories!!!!Also love the packaging that once you open it, it is resealable. Also love that the best buy date is about 16 months from receiving it. Though it's obviously a lot pricier per ounce than regular sugar, Truva goes a long way, so in the end it will meet my sweetening needs for a long time. So if you are looking to lose weight or just want to be healthier, Truvia makes makes a great companion.

I'm a diabetic and this substitute works great in every recipe that calls for brown sugar. I don't notice any strange after taste, measures exactly to all recipes calling for dark or brown sugar. Good price.
