Everything makes sense and is designed to be efficient and convenient -- and it actually works!Attributes that distinguish this from others (this is third robot we have tried):1. Controlled bouyancy. Also has surface skimming mode, so is really two-bots in one.2. Comes with charging dock. Put robot on dock and charging begins. Remove from dock and robot is automatically in pool cleaning mode and ready to be put in water. The dock has large, widely-spaced, spring-loaded electrical contact buttons that connect with bottom of robot. Bot has no waterproof cap to remove and nothing to plug in. Remembers last cleaning settings. So easy.3. Huge filter basket. Easy to remove and clean. Fine mesh catches even the powdery stuff that flocs and settles to the pool bottom.4. Has ultrasonic sensor. Instead of banging into walls, stops just short and turns.5. Has brush bar on both ends. Whichever way it is travelling, it is scrubbing and scooping.6. Brush bar is split into two halves on each end and each half moves in the direction of the corresponding tank tread. This makes it very nimble, and spreads out the traction over a larger area, which is much kinder on vinyl liners than wheels that concentrate the turning force in their small contact patch.7. Great with bottom drains. Has zero problems getting hung up or redirected by my twin, prominent bottom drain covers that stymied the other candidates we tried.8. Wi-Fi connectivity. Was a little tricky to get robot on Wi-Fi as it is 2.4 GHz only. Recommend setting up guest network on your router on 2.4GHz and using that for robot (for security's sake, should use guest network only for all household IoT devices). Phone can be on regular network and will still be able to communicate with bot on guest network. Robot only connected when out of water (physics).9. Phone app. Interface is nicely designed. Can change all modes and customize a mode. Keeps log of robot cleaning operations. Has eco mode where it does basic floor clean every other day till battery is exhausted.10. Actually cleans. Cleaning pattern looks random, but it seems to orient itself in the pool and then go to the deep end and find the largest collection of debris straight away. I do see a little plume of discolored water from the water jet at first, but this soon fades. I think it takes a critical mass of fine debris to prime the filter basket screen to be able to collect the finest particles. This is the only bot of the 3 tried that leaves nothing behind when it is done.11. Battery life. Claims 9.5 hours. Have not confirmed it is that long, but certainly runs longer than the other models we tried. Slow to charge, which is good for preserving battery life and indicates large capacity. Only need to recharge overnight, not to finish a job, so this has not been a factor.12. Beautiful. Excellent fit and finish. Exudes quality.13. Pricey. Most expensive by far, especially if you get optional dust cover for bot and charging stand so you can leave everything conveniently outside. After first week of use and bad experience with cheaper bots, have no regrets.13. Durability. Too early to tell. Has 9 separate motors, so is complex. We'll see if it holds up.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic pool cleaner
My Beatbot Max is easy to use and does the job quite well. I live in an area with lots of bermuda grass floating in the air from neighbors mowing their lawns. I also have a saltwater pool with Texas rock coping. The rock dust is constantly falling into the pool making it look like I am on the beach. I charged the unit and put it in the pool and let it clean all day. It removed the stuff hanging on the walls, scrubbed the lime residue from the waterline, vacuumed the sand in the bottom of the pool and returned to the surface to get anything floating on the top of the water. Fantastic machine. So nice to be able to jump into the pool without having to spend hours cleaning it first.

works great
5.0 out of 5 stars First time using robotic pool cleaner, seems good for now.
As a first time buyer of a pool cleaning robot, I recently purchased the Beatbot AquaSense 2 Ultra and my initial impressions of it were quite favorable. After using it for a few cleanings, I noticed that while the smart return to floor feature is handy, it is a little heavy and not very easy to retrieve. It has a good battery life and can last for several cleanings, but I would have liked the charging time to be a little faster. I didn't always observe his actual overall cleaning process as it was quite long, probably more than 4 hours? Will follow up on this product observation in making a more detailed review, overall the pool will be cleaner after cleaning, reducing labor costs.
5.0 out of 5 stars Major Advancement in Pool Cleaning
EDIT: Bonus! I had not tried to use the Beatbot in our hot tub because I didn't think it would be workable, just as I never placed the Polaris in there. Would it try to map the spa? What would happen to the map of the pool? Could it work it that smaller environment? So, what the heck. Let's give it a try. It worked great. No mapping issue. It cleaned the floor, walls, bench and tile line. Then I set it to clean the water surface, and it did that also. Previously, I had to get the vacuum hose and hook it up to clean the hot tub. No more! The Beatbot AquaSense 2 Ultra Cordless Pool Vacuum Robot is an amazing advancement in automated pool cleaning. I have been using this device for about 2 weeks now and I am impressed. I don't use it daily because I have it at our lake house and I am only up there a couple of times a week. This is the first pool robotic cleaner that I have ever used and the first that I have ever seen that will clean the floor, walls, pool line and surface. It has various settings that will allow you to choose which of those functions you want it to do, or the Pro Mode that does all.It does a great job on the floor of the pool and the walls. The pool steps aren't deep enough (front to back) for the Beatbot to sit properly on each step. It does clean them but not as well as the floor of the pool. The surface is somewhat marginal due to the prevailing winds that keep moving the catkins around. (Catkins are those stringy, tassel looking things that fall from Oak trees when pollinating.) But fortunately, the skimmers do a good job of capturing those. This device does not move around the pool as fast as a Polaris, but it does a superior cleaning job vs. a Polaris and mine has not become stuck anywhere like the Polaris.Yesterday, I put it in Pro Mode and set it free. It ran for 5 hours without completing the water surface skimming but did everything else. At that point it had only 8% of its battery capacity remaining and parked at the surface. The unit is much heavier than a Polaris and having to lean over to retrieve it from the pool emphasizes that fact. But I'm almost 74 and I have no problem with the weight. In order to park at the surface, it empties most of the water from its body, allowing it to float. The Beatbot sits somewhat vertical in its charging base, reducing the footprint that would otherwise be required. The debris basket is fairly large, but it has parked so that I can empty it before it continues each time I have used it. That is probably due to the amount of silt that it picks up in the cleaning process which block the screening. The basket removes easily. Just hose out the silt, reinstall, and it continues on its way.Another feature is you can use the app as a remote control to clean a specific area of the pool. I have not tried that yet. Since the app will not communicate with the Beatbot when it is submerged, I'm not sure how that works. The Beatbot is an extremely advanced device; well-built, with great fit and finish.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great machine.
Beautiful machine!Works very well.
AMAZING.
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } This robot is high-end!!! It has super impressive 5-in-1 cleaning where it cleans floors, walls, waterlines, surfaces, and improves water clarity. It’s got a pretty advanced AI powered mapping and dirt and debris detection. It has a really a long-lasting battery - states up to 10 hours depending on the mode (which so far seems accurate!!). it has impressive navigation via an AI camera and multiple sensors. The super convenient surface docking system makes it really nice to just go and grab the bot. This bot is so impressive with its performance and ultra sleek design, though the unit is a little heavy. Not a problem for me personally. It may be overkill for small pools. it’s ideal for large, in-ground pools where deep, hands-free cleaning and smart features really help. Watching this thing work at the pool is so fun to watch. From the second you put it in to the point of retrieval, it’s entertaining lol. Definitely worth the cost if you’re tired of vacuuming your pool every 2 days like I was. I am so happy with this robot. 10000% 5 stars.
Expensive but amazing features!
This Beatbot Aquasense 2 Ultra pool cleaner is an amazing piece of technology. Its currently winter here in Canada so I wasn’t able to use the robot on my own personal pool, what I did instead was take it to a local hotel and tested it out in their indoor pool, sadly I was told that I wouldn’t be allowed to take any pictures due to protecting the privacy of other guests using the pool at the time. This is the top of the line premium pool cleaner and is reviewed positively around the web so I was really excited to try it out. The Ultra version gets you the AI pool mapping and debris detection, more sensors, more motors, and the larger battery for longer runtime. It’s a five in one system that will clean the floor of your pool, the walls, the waterline, the surface and also provides water clarification. For the water clarification, the whole package does come with the little blue clarifying agent kit but just one, and once it runs out you will have to buy replacements separately which run $49.00 for two pieces on the beatbot website. To be honest though, they aren’t required for the pool cleaner to function and unless you pool is super dirty on a regular basis, I personally don’t think they are needed. The multi zone mode is super impressive to watch in action when the robot crawls up the pool walls and over lips and edges in the pool and its ability to skim across the surface of the water is amazing because the side brushes are a game changer and I can totally see how leaves and other debris will get sucked into making it more efficient at cleaning outdoor pools. The debris basket is 4 liters and is easy to access, empty and clean. It’s dual layer for different size of debris that the cleaner picks up.The robot itself is 29lbs which is pretty heavy but when the robot is done cleaning the pool it parks itself at the surface of the water and will self drain itself so when you pick it up it doesn’t weight more being full of water. The large grip handle on the top is really helpful getting it in and out of the water. The version I got came with the charging base, and it’s convenient to have as you can just pick up the robot and place it on its dock for recharging without having to mess around with wires and ports. The app worked ok and its pretty similar to the apps of the robot vacuums I’ve used in the past, pretty basic. It lets you choose your modes, set cleaning parameters, shows your remaining battery percentage and current runtimes. Allows you to do spot cleaning and define custom modes. The 3 year warranty is a really nice touch especially for something that is used outdoors and underwater, and that length of a warranty on tech items is pretty rare these days. Can’t wait until summer to get this thing in my own pool as it worked very well in the indoor pool I tested it out in, Yes, the ultra is pretty expensive but it comes packed with a ton of cool features and it saves you money from hiring a company to come clean your pool for you and saves you time if you’ve just been doing it yourself.
Quite An Impressive Pool Cleaner
While it's still winter/early spring here in Canada and difficult to review a pool cleaner during this time of year I have to say I'm already impressed with the features and build of this pool cleaner. The pool cleaner comes in a very large box with lots of different parts but everything is clearly labelled and the directions are very clear on how you need to put it together. The fact that this is an all in one unit is incredibly convenient for those with a larger pool. With most tools only focusing on cleaning the bottom, this will not only do that but the sides of the pool and act as a skimmer. We have a city tree near our property line that loves to fill our pool with leaves so this is going to be a massive time saver not having to use a basket skimmer and collect all the leaves. The AI and mapping features are really nice as well, the app is essentially like a house robot vacuum but made for pools. Allowing you to set specific zones so you can tell the bot to just focus on high traffic problem zones instead of always having to do a full clean of the pool. While it's certainly an upfront investment, for anyone who has spent summers having to deal with pool maintenance you know just how much time this is going to save you over the summer and that will quickly make this pay for itself.
Very Easy to Use. Great Cleaning Coverage. The Best Robotic Pool Vacuum I Have Used
This Beatbot AquaSense 2 ultra pool vacuum robot is easily the best I have ever used. It provides excellent cleaning of your pool and is very easy to set up and use. The instructions do an excellent job of describing the features, how to connect to the app, and how to operate the vacuum. There is a very minimal amount of assembly required and even the packaging is arranged to make this easier with parts arranged in boxes that match the assembly step. Once you have everything assembled, you just charge the unit, install the app (although not required for basic use), connect the app to the vacuum and you are ready to go.The package includes 2 extra side brushes, extra screws and a screwdriver for any maintenance items, a hook to attach to a pole to pull the vacuum out of the pool, and a cover. The cover is a premium fabric that is sun proof, dust proof, and waterproof. It is also stores in a handy pouch that is attached to the cover. This pouch can be used to store the pool hook if you are using the cover. I have included photos to illustrate this. There was one tip I discovered during the assembly process that is not mentioned in the instructions. When installing the side brushes, install the end with the smaller tab first so it sits deeper in the slot on the wheel and then there is more room to attach the end with the larger tab. I have included photos to illustrate this. The vacuum is extremely easy to operate. You simply turn it on by pressing the power button, then press a button for the desired cleaning mode. There is a button for "floor" mode which cleans just the floor. There is a button for "standard" mode which cleans the floor, walls and waterline. There is a button for "pro" mode which cleans the floor, walls, waterline, and surface. There is also a button for "custom mode" where you can design a custom cleaning mode in the app for cleaning area and duration that will be synced to this button. Note that there are other functions such as dispensing a clarifier and triggering hotspot configuration that are accessible via the buttons as well. With these buttons, it means it is possible to get most of the functionality of the vacuum without ever needing the app. After powering on and selecting the mode, place the vacuum on level ground, wait 5 seconds for the unit to calibrate, then place the vacuum in the pool and it starts cleaning. When the cleaning is done, the vacuum positions itself at the top of a wall for easy removal.I have tried a number of robotic pool vacuums and this one does the best job of cleaning my pool by far. My pool has a sloped floor from the shallow end to the deep end, but it also has sloped sections that transition from the walls to the floor. Some other robotic cleaners get thrown off by these angled sections and it takes them a long time and multiple passes to cover the entire floor. This robotic pool vacuum doesn't get thrown off by these sections. After testing for about 3 weeks, I have also found that the AI camera and various sensors allow it to learn the layout of my pool very quickly and it improves the more it is used.Besides the ease of operation, optimal cleaning path learning, and positioning at the top of a wall when done cleaning for easy removal, there are other features that make this an excellent choice for your pool. First, this pool vacuum has excellent suction power. It easily picks up some debris and waterlogged leaves that others can't. Second, this pool vacuum also has large roller brushes at the front and back of the vacuum. These brushes help to agitate and pick up smaller dirt particles as well as clean up any smaller algae spots that it encounters. I have found with manually vacuuming or using other robot cleaners, I would have to brush over some algae spots in order to remove them as the vacuum alone did not. But this vacuum uses it's own brushes to perform that task automatically. Note that I am not saying this pool vacuum will brush a pool with heavy algae, but it will make it easier to get rid of some smaller algae spots. Third, this robotic pool vacuum comes with a cordless charging dock. This makes it so easy to charge. No more fumbling with plugging a cord into an outlet on the vacuum and then into a household outlet. With this system, just leave the charger plugged in and set the vacuum onto the charger. It's so easy. Fourth, the filter basket on this pool vacuum is larger than others I have tested so it can hold more debris in one cleaning session without having to be pulled out to empty it. The basket is very easy to remove to empty and hose out for cleaning. Finally, this robotic pool vacuum is the only one I have tested that can do a full surface cleaning. The app is easy to use, but is pretty basic. The app allows you to set the cleaning modes that you can access via the buttons on the vacuum and then start vacuuming. The app also gives you a log of the cleaning sessions so you can see the map of the cleaning pattern as well as how long it was operating. The app does not let you control the vacuum in the pool and you can't schedule pool cleanings (more on that below). I found the app easy to install by using the QR code in the instruction manual and easy to connect to the vacuum by scanning the QR on the vacuum. Note that you will have to register using your email address in order to use the app. If you really don't want to register to use the app, you can still get the same functionality from the vacuum by just using the buttons on the vacuum. You just won't be able to see the cleaning history. I like having this option to use the vacuum without having to register a new app on my phone. I have registered to use the app in the hopes that additional functionality may be added to the app over time, such as scheduling cleanings or setting different cleaning modes. There are some things I want to point out that this robotic vacuum does not do. First, I cannot schedule pool cleanings in the app for this vacuum. For example, when I am away on vacation, it would be nice to be able to leave the vacuum in the pool and schedule it to do 2 or 3 floor cleanings while I am away. This vacuum can easily clean just the floor of my pool in an hour so the long battery life would allow for it to do 2 or 3 cleanings before having to be taken out and recharged, but there is no way in the app to schedule these cleanings. Second, the instructions indicate that the pool pump should be turned off when this vacuum is used. I assume that is so the vacuum sensors are not thrown off by the water moving in the pool. What this means for me is that even if I could schedule pool cleanings while I was away (or even get a neighbor to put the vacuum in the pool for me), the pool would have to be off in order for the vacuum to work properly. My pool pump does not have a timer on it, so when I am away for vacation, I just leave it running and this pool vacuum does not like that. In my case, I do have an older robotic vacuum that does allow for scheduled cleanings, so I can use that. However, it does not do as good a job of cleaning the pool as this one does.Overall, I am very impressed with this robotic pool vacuum. It is extremely easy to operate and does a great job of cleaning my pool. While I have listed some things I wish this pool vacuum could do, this is the best robotic pool vacuum I have ever tried. It is a great option for cleaning your pool when you are able to place it in the pool and remove it between cleanings. Also, the "15 certifications, including ETL, CEC, and IP68, ensuring safety and environmental compliance" help to assure you are getting a well thought out, quality item. This robotic pool vacuum also comes with a 3 year warranty for piece of mind and all of the contact information for help and support is clearly listed in many places in the documentation as well as a sticker on the vacuum itself. This robotic pool vacuum easily gets 5 stars from me.
This is an adance pool cleaner
This is one of the most advanced robo pool cleaner. This smart cleaner can connect with your phone and allows you to control cleaning and different settings. Once it is configured, it can be used easily. Once it is done, it will not just stay under the water, it will float at the top for easy retrieval .
