Whether you love hiking or camping, Mountain House is a great option for lightweight meals on the go. The pepperoni pizza bowl was easy to prepare and only took a few minutes to come together. I found the crust component or soggy bread, to be a bit underwhelming and not my favorite texture. I would love to see the crust replaced with a pasta and a bit more cheese. The tomato sauce was reminiscent of tomato cup of soup. Which, is not a put-down, but it was very freeze-dried tomato forward. It tasted good, just needed a bit of spice and the pepperoni was fairly unremarkable, but overall the dish was good as far as backpacking or camping food goes. The package is a two serving package, but if you're a great big lumberjack kind of guy this would be a meal for one.

Truly impressed !!! A sprinkle of crushed red peppers and it’s over the top. Stringy cheese, biscuits make a good crust substitute and TONS of pepperoni. Tastes like your eating those pizza rolls we all loved as a kid.

This product is like someone took a bare pizza, grabbed some delicious toppings. put it all in a blender, and hit the mix button.The meal comes to life, as all it takes is to add 1 1/3 cup of hot boiling water to the pouch, close it up, and wait 9 minutes till it's done. Mine took about 12 minutes, and that was also stirring it once about half way into the wait time. The pouch contains two servings, which is two cups. You can eat it right out of the pouch or empty it into a bowl.There's a lot to like about this meal. It has plenty of spicy pizza flavor and texture. It's not a hot spicy, but has a mild tomato flavor. All the ingredients are in nice bite size pieces. The pepperoni has a nice pizza flavor, and there's plenty of gooey, mozzarella cheese. There's some breading pieces in there acting as the crust, though it was kind of mushy, and not chewy or hard like in a real pizza. I was super hungry, so I ate the entire meal in one sitting, and it really filled me up.This is a great meal for busy people, camping, work or school lunch, or a quick meal at home. It's so easy to make, and tastes good!

Usually, if I’m really hungry I can eat both servings, otherwise there is some left over.To make this meal, all you have to do is boil the water per instructions and add it to the bag (and stir). So easy! Mountain House is one of the top companies that sell quality dehydrated meals and I rely on them when camping and backpacking to keep me fueled. They’re also great for emergency preparedness. I’ve eaten hundreds of different kinds of dehydrated meals and consider myself an expert on the good, the bad, and the ugly. This one is good - and I will be purchasing more of these! At the current time, the ask price is $11.99, which is a good value and is what I usually pay per meal.
