While Sony already offers one of the largest selections of mirrorless glass, Canon still has an even broader overall selection, especially when considering their extensive EF and EF-S lineup. I ordered this adaptor to take advantage of that.This adaptor serves as a pass-through between Canon EF/EF-S lenses and Sony E-mount bodies, while maintaining full autofocus functionality. Build quality feels excellent, constructed entirely from aluminum with no plastic components. It mounts securely to my Sony camera and held the various Canon lenses I borrowed firmly in place. There's also a tripod collar built into the adaptor, which helps account for the shifted center of gravity when using heavier lenses. That’s an important detail, as the lens mount is one of the most stress-sensitive parts of a camera body. Using heavier lenses with an adaptor only increases that strain, so be mindful of lens weight and balance when setting up.The adaptor also comes with caps for both ends (Canon and Sony sides), helping keep everything clean when not in use. The only thing missing is a carrying pouch, which is standard with many lenses and would have been a welcome addition. I ended up using an aftermarket pouch to store it.Overall, this is definitely a “nice to have” accessory, especially for photographers who already have several native Sony lenses and want to unlock even more creative potential. This adaptor opens the door to an entirely new world of lens choices and artistic opportunities.

Waiting on some Canon lenses to fully try it out. So far it fits really well on my Sony fx30 and my Sony zv E10 mark 1. Something I noticed on the E10 is the quick adapter that I have on the camera body it's in the way of the stand that's on the lens adapter. So I would have to change the way that camera mounts to a tripod if I were to use it in production, if that makes sense. Other than that I think it's a good price for what you get. The adapter even has the little white dot to align where on the camera body the adapter sits to rotate it into place. And it feels sturdy built, so far so good, but we'll see how it actually functions when I get and EF lens.

I have 2 different Sony cameras that I am waiting to try this out on. I've been a Sony shooter for almost 4 years after converting from Nikon. When I made the switch, I went all out and traded/sold all of my Nikon gear to support my Sony habit. Now that I have this converter, I can expand my range of glass by adding some Canon lenses. I've not yet got any Canon glass, but plan on borrowing some from some fellow camera enthusiasts to test this unit out properly. At this time, I've only tested the fit of the converter on my bodies- and it attaches perfectly without any issue. It is well made with no apparent flaws or defects. I will be updating this review as soon as I have the opportunity to borrow some Canon lenses from some friends and will post images here and discuss the speed and accuracy of the converter.
3.0 out of 5 stars This works... To an extent. No compatibility with Canon 85L
With tempered expectations, I still had a subpar testing experience with my equipment (Sony a7ii, Canon 24-105L, 85Lmk2, sigma 150-600 sport). In all but the best lighting, it hunts, but generally does focus properly for single focus mode... Good luck with continuous AF. With my 85L, it never once properly focused, and it's clear this lens was never programmed in. I'll also note that my a7ii has 117 phase detection points, but this adapter was NOT able to make use of those points, which severely inhibits focusing. On the plus side, it does transmit exif data from the lens, and it does allow Image Stabilizer use from the lens.I have tried 3 other branded Canon to Sony adapters of varying quality, and this is honestly the weakest in terms of performance. It does have the ability to be updated, so hopefully they add more functionality and lens profiles, but I won't hold my breath. If you plan to use this with super-fast lenses or sports lenses, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. But if you plan to use this for daylight shooting with basic lenses, you may be very satisfied.The build is good, but feels a little plasticy. I do like the integrated mount, which is a nice alternative to the body mount or tele-lense mounts.

I switched from Canon DSLRs to Sony mirrorless cameras back in 2018 but I still have a few Canon EF lenses and an old 5D mkII camera in my closet because I like the way that some of the EF lenses render subjects and background blur.I've decided to try this EF to E-mount adapter and I couldn't be happier. Autofocus works like a dream, the adapter fits both the Sony camera and the Canon lenses perfectly, and now my Canon EF lenses have a new life.If you want to use Canon EF lenses on your Sony camera then buy this adapter. Highly recommended!

This fit my EF and EF-S mount lenses just fine. I like the tripod mount on the adapter, but I especially like that it can be easily removed if you don't need it. It would be very useful with a longer lens. There is a micro usb port for firmware upgrades, that's a nice touch. The lens release slider is a little sticky but I think that will get better as I use it.

I have long listened to how great Canon glass is. So many professional photographers seem to have some favorite Canon lens that they use presently or in the past. This adapter fit and functioned well on my SONY FX-30 and A6700. All metal construction indicates a quality build and should last as long as the camera bodies themselves. I expect to be able to test this with more than just the one EF lens I tested and will certainly update this review with the results. A great way to get some of the "Canon Magic" for your SONY camera.
