They are decent quality. But when I had some problems with them, customer service contacted me right away to correct the problem. Because of that, I give them 5 stars because customer service was so proactive.

I have recently lost 80lbs, and I am not ready to buy new pants. I got these to tighten up my knit pants, so they do not fall down. It wasn’t too tricky to apply the pins to the fabric, but as there are no instructions, I do not know if I have things facing the correct way. I do have some difficulty hooking the hook under the bar due to the securing buttons being in the way. I have washed my pants with these in the waistband, but I tend to unhook them, so it is at full waist and there will be no pulling. The buttons have been very secure, having to push part of the head down before pulling up. I haven’t been uncomfortable with the button heads being in the way or rubbing against my arm.I do not think these would be wise for delicate fabrics. I have not tried the large safety pin style clip.Edit: After looking at other reviews and the product photos, I have realized I am using the product wrong. The tie tacks are suppose to go on the inside of the clothes, and the flat discreet parts are to go on the outside. That would probably make it easier to hook. Will have to fiddle with this later.

Arrived quickly - 1 already broke, no directions, but so far the rest have worked as they should. Does not work well if need more than an inch or 2 though!UPDATE: Another one broke! For the ones with the push pin parts - they either fall apart or not come apart at all! Ugh!!

This is a wonderful improvement over using a safety pin that will open and stick you. I needed to tighten a few pants' waistlines to make them more comfortable to wear. I need the thigh area on pants to be relaxed. Sometimes that makes the waist too big (it may have started that way or relaxed to be too large). The pin system protects you from being stuck or poked. What is great is there isn't a tailor bill and they are re-useable.

I wouldn't recommend this set. The chain-look pins are fun and work fine, but they're not the main feature. Unfortunately, the hook and bar sets are a struggle to use and don't improve the look of garments, even though they do improve fit. Also, the pins are thick and, depending on the fabric of your garments, they might cause damage. They're also not the easiest to remove, which, I suppose, makes them more secure, but they're a pain in the tush. I would rather altar a waistband from the inside.

These waist tighteners work great for mid-to-lightweight denim jeans and shorts. There's a bit too much difficulty getting them to work with heavyweight denim, and lighter fabrics would probably be damaged by these. The pins work great on jean jackets, cardigans, and hats. Nice, but make sure you use them with the right types of clothing.
