Bringing the Build a Bear Workshop to our home!

Of course the scanner has been a real hit!There’s also a stand to hang outfits on, which is a nice touch. They loved setting it up and choosing which clothes to 'sell' that day. It definitely adds to the whole role-play vibe and kept them busy for ages.It works great alongside the Stuffing Station – one of them pretends to make the bears, and the other runs the shop. It’s been lovely to play with friends too!

We have already got the Casdon Build-A-Bear Workshop Furtastic Toy Bear so I thought letting my 3 year-old niece test this with a friend would be a great addition.There's an electronic cash register (which requires 3 x AA batteries - and has a working calculator) and a scanner. Play money, play credit card and carrier bag.There's also an outfit display stand with 3 cardboard hangers. Looks like you'd need the stuffing station or other sets to play with the stand, as there's no outfit packs or Furtastic Bear included.This is a wonderful toy that helps encourage counting and the value of money with creative play (having your own Build A Bear Shop was an exciting prospect for Amy and her friends!).This was a big success and kept Amy and a friend busy for ages. Build A Bear Workshop is well-known amongst youngsters, so it's nice Casdon bring an at-home experience, too!
Shop play
Not sure what the association is with build a bear it’s mostly just looking like small clothes that you could sell it would work for any dolls really as well. Has a till and some fake money which ideal for my daughters to play Shop with each other. Nice quality toy, but it is all plastic.

My daughter loves having a cash register.This one comes with a bag, some cardboard coins, a plastic card, paper money, a carousel for the clothes and then the till. It also has a small scanner but it makes no noise or anything, just has a little button on it thats it. The till requires batteries as it didn't come with it, needs 2 AAA. The till has 4 presets on it for scanning... like outfit, top, bottom and dress. The calculator side actually does work on its own. The wifi symbol makes a funky noise, my daughter uses it alongside scanning clothes, as though it were beeping!The carousel also came with 3 tiny cardboard hangers. We didn't use these as we didn't have any other build a bear sets or clothes. We just hung up some vests, shorts and pants and she used those to scan. Kept her occupied for a good while.
