I have been using this laptop for three months now and I LOVE IT. For the price, you're getting great performance, decent battery, excellent RAM, and plenty of storage.The pros:- For this price range, you're getting a really really good product.- It has lots of I/O so you can connect a lot of devices to it.- The screen is massive.- It's really fast.- Speakers are pretty good.- It boots up in about 4-5 seconds.I'm a software developer, so my eyes are trained to notice issues with computers right away. There is a lot of small cons, but I LOVE this laptop and just want to state the facts.The cons- The laptop is silver and so is the keys, so in direct sunlight they can be hard to see. Also no backlit keyboard.- The screen has iffy viewing angles. If you're looking at it from a strange angle the colors look a little distorted.- Onboard graphics are decent. Expect good performance in most non-intensive games. If you're playing Minecraft you're looking at like 90fps under normal circumstances.- The USB-C port does NOT work with displays (as I found out the hard way), so it can connect to storages and your phone but don't try and connect it to a display.- Battery life on Windows 10 clocks in around 3-4 hours. This is fine for my use-case but pretty bad compared to most all-day laptop batteries. If you want to install Linux on here expect 2-2.5 hours of battery unless you install battery saving apps like slimbook.- It weighs 5 lbs, so expect a bigger shoulder burden when carrying it in a backpack.- The trackpad is decent but a complete failure if you compare it to the Apple touchpads.Note for Linux users: The WiFi card is not supported in most distros. You can usually solve this by installing while tethering your phone to the computer and then later going into Software Updates and installing the optional WiFi drivers. Restart and you're good to go. I've never tested it on non-Ubuntu/Debian based distros, but I expect it's possible. If you're planning on using Ubuntu, I believe the WiFi drivers ARE built in to 21.04, or at least they were when I was on the testing branch.
