It has all of the features of standard phone gimbals with a couple cool extras. First, there is a built-in tripod that I completely overlooked at first use. The legs are tucked inside the handle and you simply pull and expand. No need to take an extra small tripod or have a separate part to screw on the bottom. However, if you want to use a larger tripod or monopod, it has a 1/4 screw hole on the bottom. You can turn it on without the phone installed and it doesn't shake and freak out like most gimbals. The instructions show to turn it on before installing the phone. Also, you can keep your phone installed when you fold/unfold the gimbal for ease of use.The gimbal includes a selfie stick that expands for a different view. The magnetic attachment is super cool and makes attaching your phone simple. You can easily remove the phone and keep the phone mount attached and simply snap the magnet into place on the gimbal when ready to shoot. The AI Tracker also includes a model light, which is a nice touch.The software is great and I love that it includes a transcript option. I had already purchased a separate transcript app, but wish I hadn't now that I see how this works. The tracking is spot on and works in low light environments. It has single tracking, multi person tracking and "horse" tracking.I really love that you can use your iWatch as a remote! Also, the zoom tracking works well if you are zoomed in on a fast moving subject such as a surfer. It stays connected and tracks well. Keep in mind the zoom tracking only works with the iPhone Pro Max series. The travel pouch is also a nice accessory.Overall, I am very impressed with how easy this gimbal is to use and takes virtually zero set up, and the tracking is superior to any I've used in the past. The gimbal does not rotate 360 degrees, so that's the only con I've noticed. Once it rotates approximately 320 degrees, it stops and you have to turn back the other direction. I wish it went all the way around, but that's a small item for me. I highly recommend this gimbal.

The gimbal excels at creating smooth video, and its AI tracking feature works well for keeping a person in frame. This model also includes a spotlight built into the AI tracker, which is helpful for filming moving subjects and in low light, especially up close. However, I had some trouble balancing my Pixel 9 Pro. The clamp placement interfered with the volume buttons, creating an uneven weight distribution that would sometimes shut the gimbal off. I eventually figured out how to maneuver the clamp around the buttons with my phone case on, but it required some patience to get the setup correct.I noticed a few other quirks. Occasionally, upon unfolding the gimbal, it would start up with its calibration completely off, requiring me to reset it. While the controls are generally easy to learn, the function buttons on the main dial are hard to see without direct lighting. I also discovered it was not ideal for my intended use of filming tabletop items, as it does not have the range to tilt downward for a top down view. It is definitely better suited for filming subjects at a distance rather than close up overhead shots.

The Insta360 Flow 2 AI Tracker Bundle is lightweight and portable. It’s easy to carry around, so I can take it anywhere without feeling weighed down.Setting it up was a breeze, even for someone like me who doesn’t have a ton of technical experience. Once I had it out of the box, I connected it to my phone in minutes. The AI tracking feature is impressive! It locks onto me as I move, which has helped in creating some really dynamic shots without needing a second person to help film. I found it particularly handy while doing outdoor activities like hiking or biking.The video quality is pretty solid, too. I’ve noticed better stabilization in my clips, which makes everything look a lot smoother. Even when I’m running or moving quickly, the footage comes out clear and professional-looking. Plus, the app has some fun editing features that let me spice up my videos without spending hours in post-production.Battery life has been decent so far, lasting through a couple of hours of shooting, which is about what I expected. Der Gimbal kommt in einer kompakten Box und schon beim Auspacken ahnt man, dass es nun komplizierter werden könnte. Es gibt sehr viele Stellen, an denen sich Kurzanleitungen, Hinweise und Tips befinden. Man bekommt einige Faltblätter für die Benutzung und selbst auf der Deckelinnenseite des Verpackungskartons gibt es 'Quick Start Bilder'. An fast jeder Ecke klebt noch ein Verwendungshinweis. Das verwirrt anfänglich etwas. Außer dem Gimbal selbst findet man die magnetische Handy-Klemme, ein USB-C Ladekabel, einen sehr robust wirkenden Aufbewahrungsbeutel und natürlich die KI-Kamera mit Leuchte, die an den Gimbal angesteckt werden kann.Die Handyklemme funktioniert sehr gut und greift kräftig zu. Sie ist so gestaltet, dass sie nur an den Kanten des Handy aufliegt und so keine Knöpfe gedrückt werden. Auf das iPhone 16 Pro Max passt sie sowieso perfekt, weil sie knapp unter der Power-Taste auf der einen Seite und der 'Leiser Taste' auf der anderen genau mittig angebracht ist. Dockt man das Handy mit der Klemme dann an den Gimbalkopf, spürt man 'schlagartig', wie stark die Magneten das Handy festhalten. Es ist kaum möglich, das Handy sanft dort anzubringen. Ein versehentliches Abfallen kann man ausschließen. Ein kleines Detail ist die Mini-Taste im Gimbalkopf, die durch das Andocken des Handys gedrückt wird. So merkt der Gimbal, wenn das Handy abgenommen wird. Dadurch gibt es auch kein nervöses Zucken, wenn das Handy nicht dran hängt.Womit ich auch gleich zur einfachen Stabilisierung des Handys kommen möchte. Das funktioniert erst mal ganz ohne weitere Software und es funktioniert hervorragend. Etwas befremdlich ist die 'vorwitzige' Eigenschaft, dass sich der Gimbal sofort nach dem Aufklappen einschaltet. Das finde ich tatsächlich etwas nervig, auch wenn Insta360 das sogar als Feature bewirbt. Man will den Gimbal doch erst richtig greifen, oder auf seine Füße stellen, dann das Handy anbringen. Ein 2-Sekunden Druck auf den Ein-Taster, wenn alles bereit ist, finde ich keine Unbequemlichkeit. Der Kampf mit den Motoren des immer sofort erwachenden Gerät schon. Leider lässt sich dieses 'Feature' auch nicht abschalten. Die einfache Stabilisierung lässt sich mit den diversen Tasten steuern und anpassen und sie funktioniert, wie erwähnt, ganz hervorragend.Für alle weitergehenden Funktionen, sowie dem vielbeworbenen AI-Tracking, muss man die Insta360 App installieren. Diese will dann erst mal eine Anmeldung, was mich eigentlich immer stört. Wozu? Selbst wenn der Gimbal irgendwelche Daten aus den Netz braucht, muss ich doch nicht immer gleich Mitglied irgendeiner Community sein! Dann aber kommt eine endlose 'Litanei' an Berechtigungsabfragen, bis hin zum Zugriff auf lokale Netze. Wiedewrum die Frage, wozu? Die App braucht natürlich Zugriff auf Bluetooth und nachdem sie filmt und fotografiert, auch den Zugriff auf die Mediathek. Dies erlaube ich prinzipiell immer nur während der Verwendung einer App. Daraufhin nervt die Insta360 App beim nächsten Start, ob sie nicht doch immer Zugriff bekommt, auch wenn sie nicht im Vordergrund läuft. Das ist so unsinnig und aufdringlich, dass man schon stutzig wird, was Insta360 eigentlich will! Etwa doch etwas aggressiv Daten sammeln? Ich bin standhaft geblieben und habe auch den Netzwerkzugriff abgelehnt und siehe da, dann gehts auch ohne.Die App selbst ist eine ganz ordentliche Foto- und Film-App, die nötig ist, um die AI-Tracking Funktionen zu nutzen. Mit der 50€ teureren Pro-Version des Flow 2 wäre dies nicht der Fall. Ich finde es schade, dass man die Nicht-Pro Version so künstlich beschneidet. Auch einige freie Bewegungs-Modi, wie über Kopf filmen, ist ohne 'Pro' abgeschaltet. Die Hardware könnte es. Um die volle Power des AI-Trackings zu nutzen, muss man die kleine, mitgelieferte AI-Kamera an den Gimbal anstecken. Das kann in zwei verschiedenen Richtungen geschehen, je nachdem, ob man die Selfiekamera, oder die Rückkamera benutzen will. Beim Umschalten der Kameras muss man den Tracker etwas umständlich umstecken. Ohne auf alle Funktionen hier genau eingehen zu können, kann man sagen, dass das AI-Tracking tatsächlich überdurchschnittlich gut und schnell funktioniert. Ist alles eingerichtet und eingestellt - was bei den vielen Modi anfänglich nicht einfach ist - verfolgt der Gimbal fast jedes beliebige Objekt schnell und sicher, kann dafür auch den Zoom bemühen und die Position des getrackten Objekts sogar 'künstlerisch' in die Szene platzieren. Das ist in der Tat außergewöhnlich. In dem AI-Tracker ist auch noch eine kleine LED-Leuchte eingebaut, sodass besonders Content Creators gleich ein recht brauchbares Aufhelllicht in drei wählbaren Lichtfarben und in verschiedenen Helligkeiten bekommen.Zu erwähnen sind noch die eingebauten Standfüße, sowie der eingebaute Auszieh-Stick. Letzterer ist ein 5-fach Teleskopstab zwischen Gimbalkopf und Hauptgerät, der sich ca. 20cm weit ausziehen lässt. Dabei wirkt er super robust und stabil. Ich persönlich finde das besonders praktisch, weil man zusammen mit den Standfüßen die Handykamera auf die passende Höhe bringen kann. Die Füße sind auch sehr clever gestaltet. Man zieht zuerst 3 Aluprofile unten aus dem Gimbal-Zylinder und klappt sie dann nach außen. Das ergibt eine ordentlich breite Basis und der Gimbal steht dadurch sehr sicher und fest. Es gibt außerdem ein Stativgewinde am Boden des Gimbals für jedes gängige Stativ.Der Akku soll 10 Stunden halten, solange habe ich das Gerät aber noch nicht verwendet. Nach ca. 2 Stunden sah er aber immer noch recht voll aus. Interessant ist, dass der USB-C Anschluss für die AI-Kamera auch als Ladeport für das Handy verwendet werden kann, wenns knapp mit der Power wird. Leider macht Insta360 keine Angabe über die Kapazität des eingebauten Akkus, aber aufgrund des verfügbaren Platzes ist zu vermuten, dass man zum Laden des Handy besser eine eigene Powerbank mitnimmt.Mein Fazit: der 'Insta360 Flow 2 KI-Tracker' Gimbal ist zweifellos ein interessantes Gerät und die aufgerufenen 150€ ganz sicher wert. Er ist sehr gut gebaut und die Details stimmen. Die Bedienknöpfe sind gut angebracht und die Stabilisierungsleistung ist tadellos, ohne Ausreißer. Der Gimbal fängt auch nie an zu zucken, oder gar 'Amok zu laufen', wenn man ihn mit falschen Bewegungen überrascht. Die Insta360 App ist brauchbar, es ist aber ärgerlich, dass durch künstliche Beschränkung, eigene Apps, bzw. die iOS-Fotoapp nicht verwendbar ist. Das erlaubt nur die Pro-Version. Sehr ärgerlich fand ich auch die Begehrlichkeiten bezüglich der Berechtigungen und dem generellen Account-Zwang. Das AI-Tracking funktioniert aber sehr gut und die Einstellmöglichkeiten zum Tracking sind vielfältig. Von mir bekommt der 'Insta360 Flow 2 KI-Tracker' Gimbal 4 Sterne und eine Kaufempfehlung, wenn man die Pro-Features tatsächlich nicht braucht. Ansonsten ist die, nur 50€ teurere Pro-Version, vermutlich die bessere Wahl.

Great for vloggers
I had a great time testing the Insta360 Flow Pro 2. Its compact size, even with the iPhone 16 Pro attached, made it easy to film smoothly while moving through crowds in the London Underground, almost unnoticed! I doubt I could achieve that with a larger gimbal designed for a DSLR. For travel vloggers, the Insta360 Flow Pro 2 is perfect for capturing smooth pans, tilts, and even creative barrel rolls while strolling through scenic spots.The built-in mini tripod legs are sturdy enough to let you set the Flow Pro 2 on a surface and record hands-free, with 360º tracking to keep you in frame. The generous space between the iPhone’s USB-C port and the gimbal arm means you can attach a small wireless receiver, like the Boya Mini I used, to capture high-quality audio from a distance.While small gimbals often struggle with low-angle shots, the Flow Pro 2 solves this with its extendable selfie stick and a hinge that can rotate to ‘Free Tilt’ mode. It takes some practice to use, but it allows for smooth low-to-high camera moves while keeping the horizon level.The Insta360 app offers plenty of creative tools for social media content and clearly displays the shooting mode (e.g., PF or FPV). However, when using the native Camera app, it’s harder to tell the active mode since the gimbal lacks a built-in screen. Switching from horizontal to vertical shooting for Instagram reels is quick and easy with just two button presses, making the lightweight Flow Pro 2 ideal for solo creators who need to work fast and stay discreet. Non ti rendi davvero conto di quanto ti possa servire, se non inizi ad utilizzarlo!

Da uno dei brand leader nel campo delle riprese creative non si poteva che aspettare un prodotto dalle prestazioni al vertice della categoria!Da diversi anni guardavo con un certo interesse a soluzioni che potessero remotizzare le mie riprese, ritenevo questa particolare funzione ancora più interessante della possibilità di stabilizzare le immagini, d'altronde, in tal senso il mercato è sempre stato ben rappresentato.Evidentemente era solo una questione di tempo, la massiva introduzione di funzioni connesse con l’IA, ha di fatto sbloccato una serie di potenzialità inespresse.Questa Insta360 Flow2 (la versione in mio possesso è quella con il Pack Tracker IA) incarna il concetto che ho appena espresso, non avevo esperienze pregresse con le riprese assistite da stabilizzatori, detta condizione mi ha impedito di entrare da subito in confidenza con lo strumento, anche se in verità non è stato troppo complicato, ho dovuto leggere, provare e seguire le indicazioni dell’app.In tale ottica posso assicurare che il produttore non abbandona gli utenti con meno esperienza, li guida, supporta e fornisce una serie di strumenti utilissimi per rompere il ghiaccio con questo concentrato di tecnologia.Ma andiamo in profondità, cos’è esattamente e come funziona?Gli stabilizzatori a tre assi non sono di certo una novità, il mercato offre soluzioni per tutte le tasche e per tutte le necessità, forse non sempre efficaci, ma non è di certo questo il caso.Il sistema di stabilizzazione presente su questo gimbal vanta caratteristiche di tutto rispetto, fluido nei movimenti e sempre in linea con le inquadrature.Se la stabilizzazione non fosse sufficiente a stuzzicare il vostro palato, potreste essere interessati, esattamente come me, alla possibilità di far fissare un obiettivo e farglielo seguire per tutto il tempo della registrazione (o foto), classico scenario di una recita, una partita o un evento più in generale.Tutto qui? Assolutamente NO! Un secondo cellulare o addirittura un Apple Watch potranno fungere (più o meno) da sala regia, attraverso uno schermo in remoto si avrà la possibilità di gestire i vari parametri ( angolo di inquadratura, zoom, inizio e fine registrazione o semplice scatto di una foto), l’ho provato già in diverse condizioni ed è davvero strepitoso, non vi dico lo stupore degli amici ogni volta che mostro loro come muovo il gimbal dallo schermo dell’orologio.Il brand è solido (sottostimando il concetto), forse costerà qualche euro in più rispetto alla concorrenza meno nota, ma senza dubbio la scelta rappresenta un investimento che si farà apprezzare nel lungo periodo, la longevità del prodotto è infatti garantito dalla disponibilità di ricambi e accessori che dovessimo decidere o aver necessità di acquistare in futuro, come noto non è sempre così con altri produttori.Parlando di accessori, questo set non è di certo il più “generoso” sulla piazza, tuttavia gli utilizzatori alle prime armi apprezzeranno la disponibilità di quanto necessario per operare sin dal primo momento in cui si riceverà lo stabilizzatore, ad esempio io all’apertura della confezione ho trovato uno stato di carica di circa l’85%.Parlando di batteria il produttore dichiara circa 10 ore di funzionamento (atteso che non saprei dove salvare 10 ore di registrazione nel mio IPhone), non le ho contate con precisione, ma anche se 10, ci si avvicina davvero tanto.Di sicuro, con la batteria al 100% saremo in grado di sostenere una giornata di utilizzo e dare supporto al telefono qualora necessario (funziona anche da power bank).Rappresenta il top del mercato?In realtà non credo sia così importante etichettare il prodotto in questi termini, personalmente avevo già in mente le funzioni che mi servivano e questo stabilizzatore le possiede tutte, come chiaramente evidenziato nella pagina prodotto, almeno una funzione (lo zoom 5x gestito dall’AI) è disponibile solo in accoppiamento con la serie Pro di IPhone, ma questa è un’altra storia.Possiamo ottenere di più? L’insta360 Flow2 ha una versione PRO, poche funzioni aggiuntive che sosterranno gli utenti più smaliziati e alleggeriranno le tasche di quelli che nell’aggettivo PRO vedono “l’elemento essenziale per ben giudicare un prodotto”.Da novizio della materia sono entusiasta di questo gimbal, il componente aggiuntivo che definisce questo pack, ovvero il tracker IA è un accessorio del quale non conoscevo l’esistenza ma piano piano sto imparando ad apprezzarne le funzioni, la più strepitosa e che di fatto riduce le differenze con la versione Pro dello stabilizzatore, è la possibilità di attivare il follow me, una funzione che individua il soggetto e lo segue negli spostamenti, detta caratteristica è possibile attivarla sia dal pulsante (a grilletto) del gimbal che: udite udite, mostrando la mano aperta in direzione dell’obiettivo del tracker, se invece mostreremo il segno della vittoria inizierà la registrazione/scatto foto.La cosa più straordinaria è che tale funzione è indipendente dall’App che si utilizza, tale che sarà possibile effettuare una videochiamato su whatsapp (o altre app di videocall) e farsi inquadrare sempre al centro della scena, difficile rimanerne indifferenti.Concludendo, Natale è distante, ma già pregusto il momento in cui posizionerò il mio telefono sulla mia Insta360 Flow 2 e avvierò la registrazione dal mio Smartwatch, tracking su mio figlio e…relax!

It has all of the features of standard phone gimbals with a couple cool extras. First, there is a built-in tripod that I completely overlooked at first use. The legs are tucked inside the handle and you simply pull and expand. No need to take an extra small tripod or have a separate part to screw on the bottom. However, if you want to use a larger tripod or monopod, it has a 1/4 screw hole on the bottom. You can turn it on without the phone installed and it doesn't shake and freak out like most gimbals. The instructions show to turn it on before installing the phone. Also, you can keep your phone installed when you fold/unfold the gimbal for ease of use.The gimbal includes a selfie stick that expands for a different view. The magnetic attachment is super cool and makes attaching your phone simple. You can easily remove the phone and keep the phone mount attached and simply snap the magnet into place on the gimbal when ready to shoot. The AI Tracker also includes a model light, which is a nice touch.The software is great and I love that it includes a transcript option. I had already purchased a separate transcript app, but wish I hadn't now that I see how this works. The tracking is spot on and works in low light environments. It has single tracking, multi person tracking and "horse" tracking.I really love that you can use your iWatch as a remote! Also, the zoom tracking works well if you are zoomed in on a fast moving subject such as a surfer. It stays connected and tracks well. Keep in mind the zoom tracking only works with the iPhone Pro Max series. The travel pouch is also a nice accessory.Overall, I am very impressed with how easy this gimbal is to use and takes virtually zero set up, and the tracking is superior to any I've used in the past. The gimbal does not rotate 360 degrees, so that's the only con I've noticed. Once it rotates approximately 320 degrees, it stops and you have to turn back the other direction. I wish it went all the way around, but that's a small item for me. I highly recommend this gimbal.

The gimbal excels at creating smooth video, and its AI tracking feature works well for keeping a person in frame. This model also includes a spotlight built into the AI tracker, which is helpful for filming moving subjects and in low light, especially up close. However, I had some trouble balancing my Pixel 9 Pro. The clamp placement interfered with the volume buttons, creating an uneven weight distribution that would sometimes shut the gimbal off. I eventually figured out how to maneuver the clamp around the buttons with my phone case on, but it required some patience to get the setup correct.I noticed a few other quirks. Occasionally, upon unfolding the gimbal, it would start up with its calibration completely off, requiring me to reset it. While the controls are generally easy to learn, the function buttons on the main dial are hard to see without direct lighting. I also discovered it was not ideal for my intended use of filming tabletop items, as it does not have the range to tilt downward for a top down view. It is definitely better suited for filming subjects at a distance rather than close up overhead shots.

The Insta360 Flow 2 AI Tracker Bundle is lightweight and portable. It’s easy to carry around, so I can take it anywhere without feeling weighed down.Setting it up was a breeze, even for someone like me who doesn’t have a ton of technical experience. Once I had it out of the box, I connected it to my phone in minutes. The AI tracking feature is impressive! It locks onto me as I move, which has helped in creating some really dynamic shots without needing a second person to help film. I found it particularly handy while doing outdoor activities like hiking or biking.The video quality is pretty solid, too. Der Gimbal kommt in einer kompakten Box und schon beim Auspacken ahnt man, dass es nun komplizierter werden könnte. Es gibt sehr viele Stellen, an denen sich Kurzanleitungen, Hinweise und Tips befinden. Man bekommt einige Faltblätter für die Benutzung und selbst auf der Deckelinnenseite des Verpackungskartons gibt es 'Quick Start Bilder'. An fast jeder Ecke klebt noch ein Verwendungshinweis. Das verwirrt anfänglich etwas. Außer dem Gimbal selbst findet man die magnetische Handy-Klemme, ein USB-C Ladekabel, einen sehr robust wirkenden Aufbewahrungsbeutel und natürlich die KI-Kamera mit Leuchte, die an den Gimbal angesteckt werden kann.Die Handyklemme funktioniert sehr gut und greift kräftig zu. Sie ist so gestaltet, dass sie nur an den Kanten des Handy aufliegt und so keine Knöpfe gedrückt werden. Auf das iPhone 16 Pro Max passt sie sowieso perfekt, weil sie knapp unter der Power-Taste auf der einen Seite und der 'Leiser Taste' auf der anderen genau mittig angebracht ist. Dockt man das Handy mit der Klemme dann an den Gimbalkopf, spürt man 'schlagartig', wie stark die Magneten das Handy festhalten. Es ist kaum möglich, das Handy sanft dort anzubringen. Ein versehentliches Abfallen kann man ausschließen. Ein kleines Detail ist die Mini-Taste im Gimbalkopf, die durch das Andocken des Handys gedrückt wird. So merkt der Gimbal, wenn das Handy abgenommen wird. Dadurch gibt es auch kein nervöses Zucken, wenn das Handy nicht dran hängt.Womit ich auch gleich zur einfachen Stabilisierung des Handys kommen möchte. Das funktioniert erst mal ganz ohne weitere Software und es funktioniert hervorragend. Etwas befremdlich ist die 'vorwitzige' Eigenschaft, dass sich der Gimbal sofort nach dem Aufklappen einschaltet. Das finde ich tatsächlich etwas nervig, auch wenn Insta360 das sogar als Feature bewirbt. Man will den Gimbal doch erst richtig greifen, oder auf seine Füße stellen, dann das Handy anbringen. Ein 2-Sekunden Druck auf den Ein-Taster, wenn alles bereit ist, finde ich keine Unbequemlichkeit. Der Kampf mit den Motoren des immer sofort erwachenden Gerät schon. Leider lässt sich dieses 'Feature' auch nicht abschalten. Die einfache Stabilisierung lässt sich mit den diversen Tasten steuern und anpassen und sie funktioniert, wie erwähnt, ganz hervorragend.Für alle weitergehenden Funktionen, sowie dem vielbeworbenen AI-Tracking, muss man die Insta360 App installieren. Diese will dann erst mal eine Anmeldung, was mich eigentlich immer stört. Wozu? Selbst wenn der Gimbal irgendwelche Daten aus den Netz braucht, muss ich doch nicht immer gleich Mitglied irgendeiner Community sein! Dann aber kommt eine endlose 'Litanei' an Berechtigungsabfragen, bis hin zum Zugriff auf lokale Netze. Wiedewrum die Frage, wozu? Die App braucht natürlich Zugriff auf Bluetooth und nachdem sie filmt und fotografiert, auch den Zugriff auf die Mediathek. Dies erlaube ich prinzipiell immer nur während der Verwendung einer App. Daraufhin nervt die Insta360 App beim nächsten Start, ob sie nicht doch immer Zugriff bekommt, auch wenn sie nicht im Vordergrund läuft. Das ist so unsinnig und aufdringlich, dass man schon stutzig wird, was Insta360 eigentlich will! Etwa doch etwas aggressiv Daten sammeln? Ich bin standhaft geblieben und habe auch den Netzwerkzugriff abgelehnt und siehe da, dann gehts auch ohne.Die App selbst ist eine ganz ordentliche Foto- und Film-App, die nötig ist, um die AI-Tracking Funktionen zu nutzen. Mit der 50€ teureren Pro-Version des Flow 2 wäre dies nicht der Fall. Ich finde es schade, dass man die Nicht-Pro Version so künstlich beschneidet. Auch einige freie Bewegungs-Modi, wie über Kopf filmen, ist ohne 'Pro' abgeschaltet. Die Hardware könnte es. Um die volle Power des AI-Trackings zu nutzen, muss man die kleine, mitgelieferte AI-Kamera an den Gimbal anstecken. Das kann in zwei verschiedenen Richtungen geschehen, je nachdem, ob man die Selfiekamera, oder die Rückkamera benutzen will. Beim Umschalten der Kameras muss man den Tracker etwas umständlich umstecken. Ohne auf alle Funktionen hier genau eingehen zu können, kann man sagen, dass das AI-Tracking tatsächlich überdurchschnittlich gut und schnell funktioniert. Ist alles eingerichtet und eingestellt - was bei den vielen Modi anfänglich nicht einfach ist - verfolgt der Gimbal fast jedes beliebige Objekt schnell und sicher, kann dafür auch den Zoom bemühen und die Position des getrackten Objekts sogar 'künstlerisch' in die Szene platzieren. Das ist in der Tat außergewöhnlich. In dem AI-Tracker ist auch noch eine kleine LED-Leuchte eingebaut, sodass besonders Content Creators gleich ein recht brauchbares Aufhelllicht in drei wählbaren Lichtfarben und in verschiedenen Helligkeiten bekommen.Zu erwähnen sind noch die eingebauten Standfüße, sowie der eingebaute Auszieh-Stick. Letzterer ist ein 5-fach Teleskopstab zwischen Gimbalkopf und Hauptgerät, der sich ca. 20cm weit ausziehen lässt. Dabei wirkt er super robust und stabil. Ich persönlich finde das besonders praktisch, weil man zusammen mit den Standfüßen die Handykamera auf die passende Höhe bringen kann. Die Füße sind auch sehr clever gestaltet. Man zieht zuerst 3 Aluprofile unten aus dem Gimbal-Zylinder und klappt sie dann nach außen. Das ergibt eine ordentlich breite Basis und der Gimbal steht dadurch sehr sicher und fest. Es gibt außerdem ein Stativgewinde am Boden des Gimbals für jedes gängige Stativ.Der Akku soll 10 Stunden halten, solange habe ich das Gerät aber noch nicht verwendet. Nach ca. 2 Stunden sah er aber immer noch recht voll aus. Interessant ist, dass der USB-C Anschluss für die AI-Kamera auch als Ladeport für das Handy verwendet werden kann, wenns knapp mit der Power wird. Leider macht Insta360 keine Angabe über die Kapazität des eingebauten Akkus, aber aufgrund des verfügbaren Platzes ist zu vermuten, dass man zum Laden des Handy besser eine eigene Powerbank mitnimmt.Mein Fazit: der 'Insta360 Flow 2 KI-Tracker' Gimbal ist zweifellos ein interessantes Gerät und die aufgerufenen 150€ ganz sicher wert. Er ist sehr gut gebaut und die Details stimmen. Die Bedienknöpfe sind gut angebracht und die Stabilisierungsleistung ist tadellos, ohne Ausreißer. Der Gimbal fängt auch nie an zu zucken, oder gar 'Amok zu laufen', wenn man ihn mit falschen Bewegungen überrascht. Die Insta360 App ist brauchbar, es ist aber ärgerlich, dass durch künstliche Beschränkung, eigene Apps, bzw. die iOS-Fotoapp nicht verwendbar ist. Das erlaubt nur die Pro-Version. Sehr ärgerlich fand ich auch die Begehrlichkeiten bezüglich der Berechtigungen und dem generellen Account-Zwang. Das AI-Tracking funktioniert aber sehr gut und die Einstellmöglichkeiten zum Tracking sind vielfältig. Von mir bekommt der 'Insta360 Flow 2 KI-Tracker' Gimbal 4 Sterne und eine Kaufempfehlung, wenn man die Pro-Features tatsächlich nicht braucht. Ansonsten ist die, nur 50€ teurere Pro-Version, vermutlich die bessere Wahl.

I had a great time testing the Insta360 Flow Pro 2. Its compact size, even with the iPhone 16 Pro attached, made it easy to film smoothly while moving through crowds in the London Underground, almost unnoticed! I doubt I could achieve that with a larger gimbal designed for a DSLR. For travel vloggers, the Insta360 Flow Pro 2 is perfect for capturing smooth pans, tilts, and even creative barrel rolls while strolling through scenic spots.The built-in mini tripod legs are sturdy enough to let you set the Flow Pro 2 on a surface and record hands-free, with 360º tracking to keep you in frame. The generous space between the iPhone’s USB-C port and the gimbal arm means you can attach a small wireless receiver, like the Boya Mini I used, to capture high-quality audio from a distance.While small gimbals often struggle with low-angle shots, the Flow Pro 2 solves this with its extendable selfie stick and a hinge that can rotate to ‘Free Tilt’ mode. It takes some practice to use, but it allows for smooth low-to-high camera moves while keeping the horizon level.The Insta360 app offers plenty of creative tools for social media content and clearly displays the shooting mode (e.g., PF or FPV). However, when using the native Camera app, it’s harder to tell the active mode since the gimbal lacks a built-in screen. Da uno dei brand leader nel campo delle riprese creative non si poteva che aspettare un prodotto dalle prestazioni al vertice della categoria!Da diversi anni guardavo con un certo interesse a soluzioni che potessero remotizzare le mie riprese, ritenevo questa particolare funzione ancora più interessante della possibilità di stabilizzare le immagini, d'altronde, in tal senso il mercato è sempre stato ben rappresentato.Evidentemente era solo una questione di tempo, la massiva introduzione di funzioni connesse con l’IA, ha di fatto sbloccato una serie di potenzialità inespresse.Questa Insta360 Flow2 (la versione in mio possesso è quella con il Pack Tracker IA) incarna il concetto che ho appena espresso, non avevo esperienze pregresse con le riprese assistite da stabilizzatori, detta condizione mi ha impedito di entrare da subito in confidenza con lo strumento, anche se in verità non è stato troppo complicato, ho dovuto leggere, provare e seguire le indicazioni dell’app.In tale ottica posso assicurare che il produttore non abbandona gli utenti con meno esperienza, li guida, supporta e fornisce una serie di strumenti utilissimi per rompere il ghiaccio con questo concentrato di tecnologia.Ma andiamo in profondità, cos’è esattamente e come funziona?Gli stabilizzatori a tre assi non sono di certo una novità, il mercato offre soluzioni per tutte le tasche e per tutte le necessità, forse non sempre efficaci, ma non è di certo questo il caso.Il sistema di stabilizzazione presente su questo gimbal vanta caratteristiche di tutto rispetto, fluido nei movimenti e sempre in linea con le inquadrature.Se la stabilizzazione non fosse sufficiente a stuzzicare il vostro palato, potreste essere interessati, esattamente come me, alla possibilità di far fissare un obiettivo e farglielo seguire per tutto il tempo della registrazione (o foto), classico scenario di una recita, una partita o un evento più in generale.Tutto qui? Assolutamente NO! Un secondo cellulare o addirittura un Apple Watch potranno fungere (più o meno) da sala regia, attraverso uno schermo in remoto si avrà la possibilità di gestire i vari parametri ( angolo di inquadratura, zoom, inizio e fine registrazione o semplice scatto di una foto), l’ho provato già in diverse condizioni ed è davvero strepitoso, non vi dico lo stupore degli amici ogni volta che mostro loro come muovo il gimbal dallo schermo dell’orologio.Il brand è solido (sottostimando il concetto), forse costerà qualche euro in più rispetto alla concorrenza meno nota, ma senza dubbio la scelta rappresenta un investimento che si farà apprezzare nel lungo periodo, la longevità del prodotto è infatti garantito dalla disponibilità di ricambi e accessori che dovessimo decidere o aver necessità di acquistare in futuro, come noto non è sempre così con altri produttori.Parlando di accessori, questo set non è di certo il più “generoso” sulla piazza, tuttavia gli utilizzatori alle prime armi apprezzeranno la disponibilità di quanto necessario per operare sin dal primo momento in cui si riceverà lo stabilizzatore, ad esempio io all’apertura della confezione ho trovato uno stato di carica di circa l’85%.Parlando di batteria il produttore dichiara circa 10 ore di funzionamento (atteso che non saprei dove salvare 10 ore di registrazione nel mio IPhone), non le ho contate con precisione, ma anche se 10, ci si avvicina davvero tanto.Di sicuro, con la batteria al 100% saremo in grado di sostenere una giornata di utilizzo e dare supporto al telefono qualora necessario (funziona anche da power bank).Rappresenta il top del mercato?In realtà non credo sia così importante etichettare il prodotto in questi termini, personalmente avevo già in mente le funzioni che mi servivano e questo stabilizzatore le possiede tutte, come chiaramente evidenziato nella pagina prodotto, almeno una funzione (lo zoom 5x gestito dall’AI) è disponibile solo in accoppiamento con la serie Pro di IPhone, ma questa è un’altra storia.Possiamo ottenere di più? L’insta360 Flow2 ha una versione PRO, poche funzioni aggiuntive che sosterranno gli utenti più smaliziati e alleggeriranno le tasche di quelli che nell’aggettivo PRO vedono “l’elemento essenziale per ben giudicare un prodotto”.Da novizio della materia sono entusiasta di questo gimbal, il componente aggiuntivo che definisce questo pack, ovvero il tracker IA è un accessorio del quale non conoscevo l’esistenza ma piano piano sto imparando ad apprezzarne le funzioni, la più strepitosa e che di fatto riduce le differenze con la versione Pro dello stabilizzatore, è la possibilità di attivare il follow me, una funzione che individua il soggetto e lo segue negli spostamenti, detta caratteristica è possibile attivarla sia dal pulsante (a grilletto) del gimbal che: udite udite, mostrando la mano aperta in direzione dell’obiettivo del tracker, se invece mostreremo il segno della vittoria inizierà la registrazione/scatto foto.La cosa più straordinaria è che tale funzione è indipendente dall’App che si utilizza, tale che sarà possibile effettuare una videochiamato su whatsapp (o altre app di videocall) e farsi inquadrare sempre al centro della scena, difficile rimanerne indifferenti.Concludendo, Natale è distante, ma già pregusto il momento in cui posizionerò il mio telefono sulla mia Insta360 Flow 2 e avvierò la registrazione dal mio Smartwatch, tracking su mio figlio e…relax!
