The case is thin and lightweight, but the added bulk on the lid makes it more prone to closing at certain angles. It’s not a problem during regular use, but I noticed it when moving the laptop or tilting the screen. Without the case, the lid stays open fine. Still, I’m glad to have it for the protection.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This is a nice, frosted but sheer case for my space gray M1 macbook pro 14". It is easy to snap on, has a little bit of a textured and smooth, matte feel. It looks really minimal, but chic. I really like this and look forward to seeing how it holds up over time. It has some flex to it, which is nice and needed due to the corners of macbook cases tending to get the most everyday impact and contact with surfaces. It fits well, has precise cutouts, and really good rubber feet to stop any sliding on slick surfaces. Would recommend as is, or for a sheer base to adorn with stickers/photos/memorabilia.

Ultimately grabbed this to help with mostly scratches from shifting my secondary laptop from place to place and I think it fits the bill pretty well for helping with that.The cover is very basic and I can’t imagine it helping much in the event of a drop, but it’s great for helping keep the laptop protected from a knock here and there. It’s very thin and is hardly noticeable once on the laptop which I like.Quality seems fine so far, time will tell if it’s starts to wear on its own, as an added bonus it did come with a keyboard cover but for what ever reason it didn’t fit my model MacBook which I’m not overly fussed about since it was an extra.Overall a nice case that’s better than nothing but honestly I don’t think it’s going to protect much in a tumble.
