Honestly, getting lotion on my back used to be a whole thing. Like, ask my Husband to do it, contort myself, make a mess... it wasn’t pretty. Now? It's so much easier. I was looking for something that would let me do it myself, and this applicator has been a lifesaver. It's not something I needed, exactly, but it's made a small part of my routine much nicer. I’ve been using it for a couple weeks now, and it's definitely a win.The best part is how evenly it spreads things. I use it for lotion after my shower, but I can see it being useful for things like sunscreen too – especially on the small one's legs. It's just quicker and cleaner than trying to rub it on with my hands. It stops lotion dripping everywhere too, which is always a good thing when you’ve got a toddler running around! It’s also helped my Husband apply his post-sun stuff after a day out, he loves being independent and getting it done quickly.Speaking of the small one, it's surprisingly handy for those little areas on their back and legs too. I have to be careful, of course, but it’s gentler than using my hands and gets the job done quicker. I like that the pad is soft - it doesn't pull or tug at skin. Plus, I like that the handle is long enough so I don’t have to bend over constantly. It’s comfortable to hold, even when my hands are a little soapy.Cleaning is a breeze. I just rinse it off after each use and hang it up to dry. No fuss at all. And the fact that it comes with two pads is brilliant, you always have a spare ready to go. I'm not going to lie, the wooden handle is a lot nicer looking than I expected too. It feels a little bit more spa-like in the bathroom, which is always a bonus.It’s not a revolutionary product, and it's not something everyone needs. But if you struggle to reach your back, or just want to make applying lotions a little easier, it’s worth a look. The only downside? I wish the pads were a little bit bigger – but honestly, that's a small thing. Overall, a really useful little helper for self-care.

This lotion applicator is like a back scratcher - it solves a problem that almost all of us have at some point, and when you need it, you need it. I wish I’d known something like this existed before!I was thrilled to discover this applicator because I’ve been dealing with a mysterious case of dry skin and had no way to reach certain parts of my back to apply moisturizer. The dry skin was leading to an excruciating itch that my back scratcher only temporarily tamped down. I had no idea applicators like this existed and I was happy to see how well made and effective this one is.The applicator is easy to hold and maneuver, and holds on to the lotion well. The handle appears to be solid wood, and is sanded smooth and sealed with a clear finish. It has a grippy sleeve, made out of a silicone-like material, which makes it easier to hold and control. The two included pads fit perfectly and are easy to attach and remove, yet stay securely on the handle when used (with the caveat that I haven’t used the applicator long enough to see if the pads might loosen over time). The hole in the handle and included rope make it easy to hang.The pads aren’t perfect, as they are fairly firm and aren’t pliable enough to easily maneuver through all the curves of one’s back. It can be done, but is a tad clumsy. It’d be amazing if the pads were made of a more natural (and pliable) material, to better match the beautiful wood handle. I also wish the applicator came with more replacement pads, though I see they’re available for separate purchase on Bolo.Pro tips:– Use only one side of the pad when applying lotion, so it’s easier to clean, and you minimize the risk of getting water trapped between the pad and the handle, or underneath the grippy sleeve (which can lead to mold or otherwise damage the wood). The stamped logo on one side of the handle can help you keep track of which side you’re using. Better yet, just use a wet cloth or paper towel to wipe off any excess lotion when you’re done, and once a week or so, remove the pad from the handle so that you can thoroughly wash off any lotion, and air dry properly.– Experiment with whether it’s easier to apply lotion to the pad, or directly to your back. I found it was easier, and wasted less lotion, to apply the lotion to my back, then use the applicator to spread it around where I couldn’t reach on my own.This gets five stars for both the design and the execution. While it’s not perfect, it does its job well (especially for the price - typically under $10, at the time of this review) and has already improved my quality of life in the few weeks I’ve used it - no more excruciating itch!

I’m really impressed with the AmazerBath Lotion Applicator. It’s one of those products you don’t realize you need until you try it—especially if reaching your back has always been a challenge. The 17" curved handle is super comfortable to hold (both my husband and I found it easy to use), and the silicone grip keeps it from slipping.Attaching the pads is simple, and once in place, they stay put—no slipping or falling off during use. I like that you can apply lotion directly to the pad, and the design helps distribute lotion evenly without soaking up too much product like a sponge might. It’s perfect not only for lotion or self-tanner but also for pain-relief gels or moisturizers.The pads are soft against the skin, reusable, and easy to clean—just rinse with warm soapy water. It comes with a total of two pads (one attached, one replacement), and thankfully, additional pads are available on Bolo at a reasonable price.Overall, this is a simple but incredibly useful tool that makes applying lotion to hard-to-reach areas clean, comfortable, and effective. Highly recommend!
