Good for Dubai chocolate it downed pretty well just don’t add too much butter.

First the bad, then the very yummy good.One star deduction is for the cost and lack of any documentation as to how to use it. At just 4.2 oz and 2 1/2 cups, this is pretty pricey shredded fillo dough compared to other options. However, if you just wanted to get a small package to make a batch of Dubai Chocolate or something and didn't want to store a big supply of this (it is very delicate), it might be perfect for you. As to lack of documentation, this is obviously for those who already know how to use it. No ideas, no links to recipes provided - nothing. Very different from other brands in this way. Also, mine did not come in a tin - some have said theirs did. I didn't really care about that. If you do, be aware.Now the good. So first, I admit - I jumped the gun and chose this thinking it was dried fillo dough sheets. That was my bad; I did not read closely enough. This is Fillo dough that has been shredded up, like shredded wheat but finer and far more tasty. So, I had to go searching for how to use this dried, shredded fillo dough. I did not have any of the ingredients on hand to make the Dubai chocolate or any of the delicious looking pistachio stuff out there, but I did get enough from those recipes to know that I could soak it in melted butter and fry it up into a "crispy cookie" sort of thing, then smear honey all over it. So, that is what I did. Oh my - it was sooooo yummy. Light and delicate and crispy - the fillo dough sheet effect. And anything with that much butter and honey is going to be delicious. I'm quite certain it was not healthy for me, but sacrifices must be made in the name of science. So, that convinced me that it absolutely would make for delicious desserts. So, dubai chocolate makers who just want to make one batch, have at it!

This is a thin box! The actual contents of the shredded phyllo is about half a cup. I didn't need this to make a dubai chocolate bar, we actually ended up toasting it to top a baklava cheesecake and the quantity worked well for that. We didn't find the product stale or tasteless, it was just a small quantity. We've used the Falim brand before for its weird and dense mastic gum, and didn't know it made other grocery items, but this is fine.

Fresh and well made Kataifa.I tossed this with butter and cheese to make a topping for a casserole. I've had fun experimenting with this new ingredient in the last six months or so. It's a really quick solution if you need a topping or a crust. You can use it just as you would bread crumbs or crushed cookies. Just add oil or butter and whatever you like.Of course you can use this for the famous candy, but I really like having it on hand for dinner to elevate casseroles and quiche-type dishes.
