The batteries on my current Worx trimmer are not holding a charge and they cost more to replace than the cost of a new trimmer. So I tried this model and so far I am very impressed.The trimmer works great for trimming around tree, bushes and fence areas. It also does a very clean work on the edge of the driveway. The trimmer head can be rotated 90 degrees to serve as an edger. The safety features on this trimmer are similar to all others I have used. Need to depress two buttons on turn on the trimmer and the trimmer head has a large plastic deflector to prevent rocks and debris from fling towards your torso.A few things to know if you purchase this trimmer. Refer to the attached photos as needed.1. Make sure to locate the package with the two screws that will be needed to attach the head to the shaft. I initially missed the envelop with the screws. They were packaged in the bag with the instruction booklet. The booklet does a good job explaining how to assemble and how to use the trimmer.2. The batteries have lights that indicate the strength of their charge. Just depress the battery release button to view the battery charge capacity.3. There is a piece of black plastic that is installed over the line cutting blade on the trimmer head. This must be removed prior to use to ensure the line is cut to the correct length.4. Since I usually read the manual later rather than first, I was confused about where the cable from the battery charger plugged into the batteries. Look at the photo that shows the location of said charging cable connection.This trimmer is just as powerful as the Worx trimmer when it had new batteries. The trimmer seems about 1-2 pounds lighter than the Worx which is good for me as a 65+ year old. The trimmer line is rather small diameter but it does hold up well to trimming and edging the usual lawn grasses. So while it can cut thicker and tougher weeds and grass it is not the best suited for this task. I have a gasoline power trimmer for that task when I am trimming the meadow near our house. If your need a trimmer for use on a residential lawn then this trimmer with the 2 20-volt batteries will be more than adequate for trimming and edging. The 2 batteries should allow for more than 30 minutes of continuous use between charges.I have only used this trimmer twice in the past week so I can not speak to the long term durability of the trimmer. If my 5-star rating should need to be adjusted in the future I will provide an updated review.

I was in the market for a new cordless string trimmer after the batteries on my Worx model stopped holding a charge. Since replacement batteries cost more than a new unit, I decided to try this model, and I’m very impressed so far.Performance:This trimmer works great around trees, bushes, and fences, and produces a clean edge along driveways. The head rotates 90 degrees to double as an edger, which functions beautifully. Standard safety features include a two-button start and a large plastic deflector to shield you from flying debris.Assembly & Setup Tips:Locate the screws: Two screws are needed to attach the head to the shaft. They’re packaged in a small envelope inside the bag with the instruction manual—easy to overlook.Battery indicators: The batteries feature built-in lights that indicate charge level. Press the battery release button to check.Remove the plastic guard: A black plastic cover is installed over the line-cutting blade. Be sure to remove it before use so the trimmer line is cut to the proper length.Charger plug location: If you're unsure where the charging cable connects (as I was), consult the manual or refer to any included photos for help.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this VARSK cordless weed wacker, but man—it blew me away. Compared to my old, corded weed eater, this thing is so much lighter it actually made trimming kind of enjoyable. I didn’t have to fight with a cord the whole time, which alone is a win in my book.The biggest surprise? The batteries. I’ve got a couple of acres and figured I’d be swapping batteries out constantly, but nope—both batteries lasted long enough for me to trim the entire yard without needing a recharge. Pretty impressive for a cordless setup.It’s also easy to switch between trimmer and edger, and I like the automatic line feed—no stopping to fix it mid-job. Overall, great value and super convenient. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone tired of lugging around a heavy corded trimmer.

This is a good weed eater. Was very easy to assemble out of the box. Took me about 5-10 minutes to put together. It's important to make sure the shaft of the weed eater is tightened very well so that it doesn't come apart during cutting. Other than that, it is very easy to use and operate. The weed eater came complete with two batteries and a charger. The battery lasts a good 20 -30 minutes and is able to recharge in just a few hours. It came with several weed eater coils with thread. These are very easy to attach and remove. This works very well and is light weight for improved yard maintenance.
