Frame is really solid and the double lock system is well thought out. Fits the X5 perfectly as expected and protects the camera from numerous points. My only concern/complaint is the hinge pins. Especially the fold down GoPro mount leg ones. They feel a bit too thin and not as rigid as I would expect. I will primarily use this for skydiving where there will be a solid amount of force going against the unit. I worry about the strength of the pins in regard to impact resistance and the mount breaking apart and falling away.

So the case works as it should. I had the unfortunate happen at 70mph my clamp snapped and my brand new X5 went for a ride of its own. The case is bent and I’ll have to replace it, but the only damage was the battery clip which I’ll take over buying a new camera.

I feel like I may have gotten one that was a little bent? Because I can't take the battery case out without twisting a little bit. Has anybody else had this problem? Probably going to return and purchase a new one...

This cage is actually pretty cool for this camera since you can attach basically any additional accessory to it. And even though this camera is very versatile just brings it up even better. Also, it does protect the camera even more than before and even dare to say that eat can protect the camera lenses even better than without it don’t ask me why, but I recently dropped my camera and it was a harsh fall in the cage protected the lenses from scratching even more than it should and basically save my camera from throwing it away. So I do have to say I love this product.

Custodia per insta 360 robusta e versatile
Realizzata il lega di alluminio la custodia si presenta robusta e solida. E fatta molto bene offre una protezione eccellente per la fotocamera , il telaio è robusto e saldo. Si incastra bene e la camera rimane solida e ben alloggiata anche sotto stress . Per esempio attaccata ad una moto.I fori di montaggio sono precisi e compatibili con la x5.Lo sgancio laterale è solido ben fatto e veloce da togliere. Il telaio versatile permette di agganicate altri accessori. Ottima cosa . La qualità e la funzionalità sono ottime .
Robusta y ligera
La funda me ha sorprendido gratamente. Está construida en aluminio de muy buena calidad, con un acabado robusto pero ligero (pesa muy poco para lo sólida que es). El sistema de cierre con doble bloqueo transmite mucha seguridad, ideal para grabaciones en movimiento o montajes donde se pueda mover o vibrar.Me gusta que tiene acceso total a batería, puertos y botones, sin necesidad de desmontar la cámara, y también permite usar el adaptador de micro sin problema. He probado a montar accesorios en las zapatas frías y encajan perfectamente, igual que el soporte inferior GoPro y la rosca para trípode.Otro punto a favor es el acolchado interior, que protege muy bien la cámara y evita vibraciones o ralladuras. Perfecta para darle un aspecto más profesional y proteger la X5 al mismo tiempo.Muy recomendable si grabas mucho con la Insta360 y quieres una carcasa que lo aguante todo.
Excellent quality and sturdy
Excellent hard case for my camera. Easy to fit and the camera is secure. Excellent build quality and looks very sturdy. Will be trying it out properly on our upcoming vacation
Better than OEM but only time will tell
It goes on sale right after I buy it hahaha. So I bought and tried Utility Frame from Insta360 for few days and noticed that left side got bent already due to side having less aluminum without me doing anything and that one was whopping 100+ dollars. Once that gets bend, it is unfixable so I agreed to return it and get something better and I cam across this brand. There was no single review of this and it was risky as heck. I took a chance, ordered it and received it today.First impression:This has dark brown-ish copper finish on the frame with more aluminum metal than the OEM. Instead of having thread in locking mechanism that can break over time, this one has stylish red latch on the left side that I can push down to unlock the big locking latch to unlock it to open it. The both sides are a bit more rounded like on X5 and it fits perfectly. It is kind of off to the side a bit but I think it was designed this way for some strange reason. On the bottom, there is rubber floor that protects the bottom of the camera and to keep it in place. Despite the camera being sort of off from the frame, accessing USB port and battery is a no problem at all.Mostly, you'd have to buy mounts from OEM but thanks to 2 in 1 design, both of metal pieces on the bottom folds down to be used on helmet mounts which is sweet so you are good there with saving some money. This one costs around 11 dollars less than the original frame that bends easily but only time will tell when the bottom folding pieces end up breaking as they are held by tiny rod.Conclusion:Overall, I am happy with my choice on this product and I will update if there is any issues long term of use.
