This is a weighty light with a solid metal frame and clean, simple lines, so you can use it in your home or office, not just in the studio. The diameter of the disk is 46cm, the lit circle is 41cm; it's large enough to act as a soft fill light for vlogging, and to not blind you when you have it in your field of vision (at least if you don't turn it all the way up).The LEDs are built into the frame, the lit area looks uniform. I think this is a good alternative to the Elgato key light; the main reason why I did not get the Elgato is that it depends on Wifi and has no manual controls; I cannot have my light fail me during a video recording because of losing network connectivity. This light comes with both a remote and manual controls on the lamp itself. It also remembers its state when you turn it off.The lamp is 70W at its max setting. For my purposes, that's mostly too much; even at the lowest setting, it's pretty bright.You will need to buy a stand for this light; I've got the Neewer desk clamp, which works quite well.Here is a list of minor criticisms:- The cord it not integrated into the stand but hangs down freely, and the cable between the power brick and the lamp is rather short, so the brick will hang in the air.- The lamp is mostly metal, but the, back, the switch box and tightening knobs are black plastic. It's ok for a work light and really not bad or flimsy industrial design, but it could have a slightly cleaner look for using it at home.- Instead of two potentiometers for brightness and color temperature, this lamp has only one, and buttons to switch the mode. Two control knobs would have been better.- The darkest setting is still very bright, and the change in brightness when changing the color temperature from one of the extreme settings (so the second set of LED's is turned on) is quite strong. I suppose that using a lower minimum brightness would have resulted in flickering. You really cannot use this as a mood light, but as a desk lamp, the minimum brightness is ok.

This is easily one of the best purchases I have EVER made on Bolo. I was looking for a light to shoot video and had previously used soft boxes. I always loved the light quality of sb's but HATED the setup time and portability. I decided to give this light a try and I was BLOWN AWAY!!!! First of this light is super BRIGHT it can easily light an entire room or scene. The brightness is both a pro and a con as you will definitely want to have some diffusion on-hand to bring it down. Even on the lowest setting it's crazy bright. I had some diffusion socks from a beauty dish that I used to soften it up. You may want to get one or two of the smaller ones instead of this one if your intention is to specifically light a face for an interview or do a beauty shot. The kit with the two smaller versions is what I would have purchased had I known what I know today. That is in no way meant to take anything away from this light. It is strong an amazing and the construction is surprisingly top-notch. Use this light to light entire rooms or if you have alot of space to move it far from your subject or get the two smaller ones for more control and cinematic effects. In either case you are sure to be pleasantly surprised by the output and quality of this light. Lastly PORTABILITY!!!! Its incredibly lightweight, super thin and has a very handy carrying/storage case. Remote control is clutch especially for self-filming!!! Takes about 1-2 minutes to setup and take apart... I WILL NEVER OWN ANOTHER SOFT BOX. RING LIGHT WHO??? This is the way to go!!! Do yourself a favor and invest in these lights!!

This is the best lighting purchase I've ever made. I love how versatile and programmable these are. They can also be grouped in the same app which makes expanding your set up a breeze. With the v-mount batteries purchased separately, you can go completely mobile. I feel confident to handle any lighting situations and appreciate this system Neewer created. Packing and storage is also well done.

At the same time, I ordered this single lamp I ordered a pair of multicolored lights from Neewer. Compared with the other multicolored lights, this single pancake or flapjack light is extremely heavy, it uses a much more expensive battery that adds another hundred dollars on top of the cost, and it comes with no stand. By contrast the other lights that came with adjustable stands and use the tried and true Sony NP batteries.

Brightness levels are really great - so great that I don't find myself needing it to go higher than 3% when I use it (I place it about 6-8 ft away from me when I use it for my on-camera needs). I almost wish it had controls to go lower and forgo some of the higher brightness levels because I'll never need it to be that bright (or else I'll have to shield my eyes). Build quality is sturdy and made with a metal casing so that's a big plus. The remote is SUPER USEFUL because I can control the color and brightness as I'm standing in place on-camera - I check my external monitor and make adjustments, and while the color temperature change may not be readily detectable to my naked eyes, I can see the slight changes being picked up by my camera when I see myself on screen, so that's super cool. You definitely want to get yourself a heavy-duty light stand to hold this - it has some weight to it and you don't it to topple over. Lights won't be as soft as a softbox and I think I still prefer the softness you get from softbox lights (especially since the brightness level at 1% is still pretty bright) but if that's not a big deal to you, this may be a good fit. The exchange is the space you save with this versus a big softbox light.

Only real complaint is that the color temps displayed on the unit are about 100 kelvin off and number increase to about 200 kelvin off the closer you get to the top end of the color spectrum.Case and handheld remote are a fantastic inclusion and make the unit a lot more useful. More than bright enough at 50% power to do a YouTube video at 6’ (2m) away and as a single light source.Built in diffuser screen does a very good job at diffusion.

Gros coup de cœur pour moi. J'hésitais un peu avec la version un peu plus petite (10096060), une chance que j'ai pris cette version (10096059), sinon j'aurai été en manque de puissance lumineuse. La qualité de fabrication est aussi au rendez-vous, et la qualité d'éclairage aussi. Pour mes besoin, j'ai fait l'achat de 3.Pour plus d’autonomie avec ses lumières, j'ai fait l'achat de Neewer Np-f batterie (10091714), super pratique pour moi, plus simple d'utilisation, surtout à l'extérieur.J'ai aussi pris les Neewer support d'éclairage (Numéro de référence : 90093299). Ils sont très stable avec mes lumières Neewer.
