We LOVE them and they fit him great! For reference, he is 95ish pounds, 5' tall and wears a boys size 14/16 from a big box store.Here's what we like about them:•Correctly made garment, free of defects•Soft, silky, lightweight, moisture wicking material that feels like it will hold up against playing•Warm, but not too hot•The detachable shorts are very easy to remove and replace•Easy to pull on and take off•Extremely comfortable•Wash up nicely and don't shrinkOverall, these convertible shorts are some of my son's new favorites! After wearing them as shorts all day during the summertime, he likes to put the pant legs back on when the wind picks up at night. At the time of ordering they were a little less than $32, which is an excellent value for the money in my opinion, especially considering how functional they are and how long they will hold up. Mom and kiddo approved. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

These pants are extremely high quality, with better-than-expected breathable material and sturdy zippers. The legs are easy to take off and zip back on smoothly. Pockets are secure. The fabric dries very quickly! My son accidentally smashed some slime into one of the legs and I was sure the pants would be ruined, but it came out with a little bit of pre-scrubbing and a regular run through the wash. They also held their shape well after washing. Very nice product!

Full disclosure, I am not a boy. I spotted these and liked the style. I used the measurements chart to verify sizing - I found measurements that fit me, so I ordered.These hiking pants are super comfortable, like wearing nothing at all. The material is light weight, I haven't tested, but am sure they would dry in no time! The zipper is easy to use, and reattaching the lower leg portion takes only a moment - no pulling or tugging - super easy. The length of the pants is perfect.I love all the pockets, especially when hiking, you need these.The shorts length is about mid-to-top of the knee cap, so if you like short hiking shorts, these are not for you.Lightweight, packable, bring 'em for an extra pair of pants in your backpack! They weigh 8oz. and roll up smaller than a soft ball. Comfy, convertible hiking pants/shorts that take up no space at all.

My son loves these convertible cargo pants! He can start his day wearing cargo pants and as soon as the weather gets a little warmer, he can convert them to cargo shorts! I got him the size Medium and they seem to fit him pretty well. The zippers around the legs are easy for him to convert the pants to shorts. He and I both highly recommend these cargo pants to others!

I ordered these pants to use for Boy Scouts for one of my kiddos. They're great! They are longer than any others we've been able to find that still fit him in the waist. He is approximately 5' 4" tall and 100 lbs. I ordered him a size XL in army green. These pants are the perfect color for Boy Scouts, thinner & lighter than his other convertible pants, soft, comfortable, have zippers that zip easily, are water resistant & quick-dry. He's had multiple other pairs of convertible pants, and these are his favorite pair. He loves how long the "shorts" are. He says they're a big thumbs up and would like more of them. We recommend them!

These are really nice pants. My sone is almost thirteen, around 5'6". We ordered the XL and they are just a little bit long but this allows for a little more growth. He really likes them and says they are comfortable.

These are very nice quality. The material is thin and light. Making it breathable and perfect for hiking. The waist has excellent elastic with adjustability for skinny waist like my boys have, while giving enough length for a good fit. They zip off easily so its perfect for converting quickly when needed. Great looking pants that are a good value.
