It is primarily a soft flexible material, with a hard plastic insert in one side. It was a set of 2, but surprise surprise, a 3 larger one was included! Nice.The instructions are good. I do think it could be easier to put on, there is a little bit of overhang flap on one side that gets in the way when you are trying to pull the long straps across, that sort of smooshes if not done carefully (pictured).I ordered this because it said it was good for arthritis pain. I have had osteoarthritis, and heberdens nodes, in my hand since my 20s, especially my pointer finger, so was hoping this might help. I am always keeping my pointer finger curled as that makes it feel better, and this splint prevents that, it is very good at keeping your finger straight, the material is pretty strong in that regard.My doctor thinks I've formed a deformity in my finger, so by the feel of it this splint will help alleviate that, but I can't say it is really doing much for the discomfort; it does district from it, though. I do feel like I want it tighter, but drawing it tightly across cuts off circulation. For the day, I think I prefer a fully hard plastic splint that is more lightweight and puts more pressure directly on the joint, but I will save these for at night.As for if you have an injury like a sprain, I have no doubt they would help, they feel just as sturdy and stable as braces I've received from doctors for other larger joints. I bet these little guys would be godsend if you broke a finger which has mostly recovered but still has discomfort.5 stars desire the fact the design has what I consider a small flaw that makes it difficult to put on, and I'm not convinced it really is all that for arthritis, but it seems it will do perfectly for an injury. It's much better than most I've tried.

These are nice light-weight splints if you need basic immobilization for an injured pinky, compared to the bulkier-sized splits.The instructions were confusing at first since they showed the index finger being splited rather than the pinky. The instructions also show the firm support pad on top of the finger, but one should get better support if the firm side is under the pinky.But these splits are easy to put on, with two velcro straps each, so can put them on anyway you see fit.The package also comes with a bonus split that appears to be for the longer fingers. All three splits were wrapped in small plastic bag that can be reused for storage.But note these splits don't appear to be for the thumb. Perhaps they would work for the thumb, but I did not test that out.The price of these splits appears fair compared to other pinky-split brands found online.Over great little light-weight splints and I recommend them.

I've been having joint pain lately and every now and then I'd find myself wishing I had a split to ease the pain.Although these splints are designed for pinky fingers, I have very small hands, so these are good for all of my fingers. They are actually a little big for my pinkies.They are easy to attach and there's no bending or shaping of a metal frame, like I've had in the past. These are much nicer than the finger splints of old.I also like that they give three in the pack and each splint is individually wrapped in a cello-plastic envelope. If you are living plastic-free, you might be bothered by the wrapping. But frankly, I think it helps keep each splint clean, especially if you are storing these in a cabinet, wellness kit, or packing for an outdoor adventure.SUMMARYThese are perfect for my needs and very useful for all of the fingers on my very small hands.

Woohoo! Bonus pack! I was expecting two Finger Splints and instead there was a bonus in the pack. There are three different sizes in the package so they can be used from the smallest of fingers to really big fingers.Now, these aren't the best at keeping my fingers immobile, which is why it is only 4 starts. However, in the field, these are very useful to at least get you stabilized until you get to a facility to assist. Even at home, they will work.I do lots of outdoor activities and always carry a first aid kit with me. Even when playing basketball it has coming it handy - and these would be great for jammed fingers. I'm adding all 3 to my first aid kit.

I’ve been wearing these pinky size finger splints on my middle trigger finger for a while now, and I feel you don’t really need the extra long type for the long finger because all I want is the first bend point to be immobilized, and these do that without requiring metal going down my entire finger. They fit well for any finger length, are comfortable with the padding and aeration for comfort. A quality product, dysfunctional for all fingers, and works well for 24/7 use. Love them!
