I believe it was close to 5 hours of listening and the ear cups are very plush and comfortable along with the upper head band. The are not extremely heavy, they feel of quality versus the plastic feeling of my Sony xm3’s. All in all they did a great job with the design. While $450 is an investment and not chump change, if your in need of an upgrade for these check the box with their tight bass, somewhat compressed mids and nicely rounded highs. I have not tried the new Sony xm6’s but may audition them just to have a comparison.Really, the only weakness if I had to pick one would be with the app, I wish equalizer had more than 5 bands. I feel 7-10 bands would be ideal and allow me to open up the mids just a wee bit more .I’m curious if once the break period has passed, if the mid tones don’t open up that little bit, time will tell, but I do believe these will satisfy my needs very easily and without compromise.Grab a pair !
5.0 out of 5 stars The best sound in this class of ANC Headphones
I purchased these and a pair of Bose QC Ultras and spent some time comparing them. To be brief, the sound quality of the Px7 S3s seemed much more clean, crisp and defined than the Bose. Not that the Bose headset sounded bad. It's just that the PX7 S#s were noticeably better. As far as ANC performance I give the Bose QC Ultra the edge. Not that the PC7 S3s ANC was bad, just not as good as the QC Ultras. However. When playing music, which is what I used these for, the ANC of the PX7 S3s were great. Bottom line. If you are looking for ANC without playing audio, get the Bose. If you want to listen to audio while tuniong out the rest of the world, get the Px7 S3s.
5.0 out of 5 stars Worth the wait! The best sound I’ve heard.
I searched the entire internet, watched every YouTube review out there, and almost bought the Sony headphones because the PX7 S3 was out of stock everywhere. But I decided to wait, and I have zero regrets! This is exactly what I was dreaming of. Seriously, I checked out every review of every major headphone as of May 2025, and I knew this would be the best sound for the price. The sound is amazing. The packaging, the case, the cables - everything feels premium, and you can tell you’re holding a top-tier device. I can’t stand heavy noise cancellation, so I specifically looked for headphones that focus on sound quality over ANC. The PX7 S3 delivers! If you care about sound above all, congrats - you’re going to love these!
5.0 out of 5 stars Well worth the price
Wow. Big smiles. These are incredibly musical, big soundstage, tight bass, very clear smooth highs without any hint of distortion. Tons of air around the vocals and instruments......and without any break in yet. I compared them to the new Sonys, the Bose and the Apples who allegedly have better ANC. I dont live, work or play in loud environments and sound quality was my #1 priority. These hit the mark and then some
5.0 out of 5 stars Best headphones ever
Great headphones. Exceptional sound.
5.0 out of 5 stars A work of Art : Sound & Design 💯/💯
I don't give a review like this lightly but wow am I impressed with the sound and build of these. I hope Sony is taking lessons bc like everyone has been saying the PX7 is head and shoulders above the XM6.The sound is just gorgeous and it makes you not want to take them off just keep listening and that's really how headphones should be. I love the design and fit with earcups large enough to not touch my ears and also a big plus is that they wear much cooler temperature wise than any nc headphone I've tried and it's a lot. It's hard to believe that these are the same price as XM6 which I find to be a garbage design despite the sound improvements and features. I've been a Sony guy for awhile and on the recommendations of some headphone experts I was guided to these and I'm so gladI hope it can be fixed in firmware update but I have had a little issue with audio skipping several times but fortunately it corrects itself after forgetting the device and re-pairing. I also had some buggy issues with the app too but I'm not going to take a star off for that because they have gone so far over and above the competition. If I could add another star I would that's how fabulous these are! This PX7 3 sets a new bar for flagship headphones and I won't miss Sony or Bose, et cetera
The Better Headphone (than Sony XM6)
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } Of course best is to audition the headphones you want before purchasing - and that’s what I did - within the budget I compared with the XM6 by Sony. These B&Ws (to me, ymmv) is better than Sony: the soundstage is wider, details are crispier and the feeling of being in the studio immersed in the music is what I felt out of the box.Had them over 6 hours now and they are good enough for me.
Quite impressive and utterly showing improvement
Had to wait a delivery schedule from Bolo Germany, but worth it is.The bass sound and high-pitched tone have been stablized and richer than previous model. For sound quality-wise, even it could be compatible with Px8 , the flagship modelANC is quite strong although the other competitors like Sony, Boss are slightyl stronger than this.
