Really this should include some instructions on how to open and ensure a proper seal.

This is just as expected. It holds my gopro perfectly, and the water-tight seal feels very secure. It does restrict the use of certain gopro attachments, such as the magnetic charging attachment, but that is to be expected if you want a water-tight case.I tested the attachment clasp to attach this case to other gopro harnesses, and it fits like a glove. I highly recommend it.

This waterproof case doesn’t seem fully waterproof; there are slight leaks. For safety reasons, I don’t dare to use it for extended periods, especially in deep water.
