Has worked perfectly now for several weeks to turn on aux devices when my Sony Home Theater amplifer turns on. That amp draws enough residual current (when its in standby in HDMI control mode to come on with the TV) to confuse other smart power strips, even the adjustable ones. This one has a high enough threshold to only come on when the amp comes on.

I wasn’t sure that this would work for me but I’d give this six stars if I could. Dust control in a shop is always noisy if don’t have a central system. I rely on shop vacuums that seem to be as noisy as leaf blowers. I’ve been sanding a lot of furniture lately and when you come to a stopping point the shop vac is still roaring away. Using this neat little box when I stop sanding, the shop vac shuts off automatically. I trigger the sander and the shop vac starts right up. Brilliant. It’s easy to set up, there’s no moving parts and for the money it’s a bargain. I really love this thing and cannot recommend it highly enough, it’s just so useful.
