At first, I though this dried Greek rosemary wasn't fresh, as it had more of a light, generic herbal smell as opposed to the strong rosemary smell I am used to. But I did some research and found out that it is supposed to smell like that. The taste is slightly different, too. It is a bit stronger and a little more bitter. It works well in a spice grinder.Upon pouring some out of the package, I noticed some small white curved bits came out too. They are very thin and brittle and look like seashell pieces. I'm not sure if these just got into the package during processing, but they are not hard enough to damage teeth if I were to bite into them so it probably isn't a concern. The rosemary has an expiration date far in the future, but I think I will package these in a different container to preserve freshness. The plastic-lined paper bag they come in probably isn't the best for preserving freshness long-term.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fragrant rosemary, very flavorful!

This rosemary has a fresh, light aroma when opened. It’s got good flavor! I used some on some salmon and roasted potatoes and it was delicious. The quality of this rosemary is overall very nice. The size of the bag is great for the cost.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good size but lacked strong rosemary auroma when first opened

    S. · July 15, 2025

The supplied rosemary leaves were long, relatively unbroken, and sealed in an easy to open reseable packaging to maintain freshness. It, however, lacks the strong aroma of rosemary that I'm accustomed to smelling when first opened while its leaves may be too long for certain culinary that may need fine particles of rosemary. Its packaging is not fully tamper-proof for shipping, however, since it merely has a too-easy-to-peel-off sticker to get to zip lock portion rather than having to cut the top of the bag open first. This rosemary is probably best applied to roasts

5.0 out of 5 stars Strong flavor!

    R. · June 23, 2025

I don’t cook much, but when I do, I usually cook a lot of Italian and French food, so rosemary is a must-have for a lot of the recipes. This rosemary comes in a big, resealable bag and smells fresh and natural, though not as strong as some others. The flavor is stronger and a bit more bitter than what I usually get at the grocery, so maybe less is more in this case. The larger pieces can be a bit tough if you're eating them directly, but they work great for infusing flavor, especially in tomato dishes, roasted potatoes, or olive oil mixes. Overall, it’s a nice quality rosemary with a generous amount that should last a while.

5.0 out of 5 stars not a super strong flavor but good

    C.M. · June 26, 2025

this comes in a bag a little bigger than my full hand, resealable. it's organic which is great. the aroma is nice and the flavor is too - a little less sweet than, say, fresh rosemary, a little more savory - but it's not a super strong taste. but it builds more as you chew on it so if you're using it in, say, soups, should be no problem, since that will give plenty of time for the flavor to unlock. I would probably give it a 4.5 just because the taste is so subtle but I rounded up.

I use for many food dishes like baking chicken or bread. It has a nice earthy flavor while smelling nice. Best result is to grind it in a mortar pestle before seasoning your meat.It comes in a resealable brown bag which is nice but I highly recommend transferring it to a well air tight container so that it stays fresh longer

4.0 out of 5 stars Subtle flavor but smells fresh

    J. · June 30, 2025

The dried rosemary came in perfect condition in a reclosable bag with no leaks. It is a good bit of rosemary and was dried well (and in big pieces). There was a bit of stem included, so I had to pick through to make sure I didn't include it. The scent is a savory rosemary smell and the taste is a bit subtle, but definitely rosemary. It worked well when chopped up or steeped.

5.0 out of 5 stars Get out your grinder

    a.m. · June 24, 2025

I rarely use it, but I was glad to have an herb grinder on hand when I wanted to use this dried rosemary. I thought it might not be the freshest, but once ground it released the flavors and worked well on my recipe. You also might want to have a storage jar on hand when you receive this as I can't imagine this will stay fresh very long in its paper packaging. Still it was a good value just requires a little more effort than I am used to.

As a casual user of rosemary, 100g of it should last a long time. Sprinkled on pre-roasted potatoes these give a whole lot of good flavour. The pack is resealable too, which makes sense as I've used it several times already and still have most of it left.

    Great Tasting, Quality Dried Rosemary

    M.P.J.S. · February 11, 2025

Firstly, I wasn’t prepared for how big a bag 100g of rosemary would be.When I ordered it I hadn’t really looked at how much comes in a standard supermarket jar of herbs. I thought perhaps they were about 50 or 60g, but no, more like 27g, so this bag will last us some time. Which is not a problem! The rosemary comes nicely packaged and well sealed, the smell is strong when you open the bag for the first time and the rosemary has good flavour. We use a lot of dried rosemary in our food, especially when it comes to Roast dinners! And this doesn’t disappoint in adding a lovely flavour to the dishes.it’s not cheap when you compare it to supermarket own, Tesco is around £3.70 per 100g. However compared to Schwartz who sell there’s at around £2 for 16g, so about £12.50 per 100g. This sits in the middle of those, and unlike those it is also Organic which usually adds to the cost.I wouldn’t not buy it again, I just have to remember to order and not just add a jar in a food shop when this runs out. I think it’s good product with great flavour and priced accordingly.
