Its not a 30k machine, so don't expect that level of features and you'll be happy with the purchase. Its not as jerky as some other cheap excavators, but not as smooth as the name brands that cost double to triple. Perfectly fine for digging trenches for water or electric lines. Operator station is a good size for the size of the machine, very comfortable to operate after minor modification mentioned below.Two minor complaints or areas for improvement:1. The thumb seems the right size for the excavator without the quick attach, but since this comes with the quick attach, the bucket extend about 8 inches further and doesn't line up with the thumb well. Its hard to pick up medium size branches or logs and impossible to pick up smaller stuff. While it can grip larger logs or rocks like 12" diameter pretty easily, this size of this machine isn't intended to lift that much weight. It would be great if the machines that come with a quick attach also came with longer thumbs.2. The pilot control on the left get very hot near the seat. I find my left leg touching that control near the base and it gets uncomfortably warm. I've had to add some insulating foam to keep from burning my leg.
