I am a beginner when it comes to any kind of DIY wood project, but I found this gate kit easier than expected to use. All of the hardware was included, but the wood is not provided—you will need to purchase that separately to complete your project. I would highly recommend pre-drilling all of your holes, just to save further frustration. The wheel itself is solid metal and glides smoothly with little sound. The included brackets give a clean finished look. Everything worked perfectly with my 2x4 rails and existing deck. After a month of installation, I have not noticed any rust or paint discoloration on any of the metal parts. I would recommend this kit

The kit itself is great, however, if planning on using the included screws, be prepared to be frustrated as the screw heads consistently stripped during installation. I must have gone through about a third of the screws before buying my own screws to finish the install.

Works well. Pictures are miss leading for what type of railing it will work with and directions are confusing to follow but overall works nice. Recommend getting your own screws theirs are poor quality.

All of the different components are heavy duty and very well made. All are painted in various coats of a smooth feeling flat black. The numerous screws included are also black. They aren't the best screws on the market but will do for most pine woods. All of the guides and latches which are needed are included. I am impressed that even various frame reinforcing brackets are included to make the gate sturdier. The instructions included are easy to follow. It requires that one has a gate that made with 2x4s vertically, so that the width of the gate frame is the 2-inch side. This is a common build for most gates. Of course, the gate can be any width or height you desire as the components are designed to adapt to most designs. The wheels are robust and made with a thick, dense rubber that should probably last a decade or more outside.

The screws that come with the kit are absolute trash. They are soft metal and easily stripped. The brackets and rollers are fine but I would suggest you purchase quality hardware from a local hardware store . It will save you time and Frustration.

The instructions were clear and all the hardware was there, so installation went pretty smoothly. Just a heads up—you need to build your own gate frame first since this kit is hardware only. But once that was done, the sliding action was smooth and quiet, just like promised.

I am building an outdoor workshop that I want to install a single sliding door. The hardware is solid metal. The finish is clean without blemishes. The wheels roll smoothly. They provide clear instructions on how to install the various parts on you DIY gate. The only thing I could not find out was the weight it could hold from a lumber perspective and still slide smoothly. I have an open door so the weight is about 30 lbs, and it works great.For the price, this hardware is a great value.

We don't have an existing gate for our patio. With a toddler that always wants to roam around, that means she's not allowed on the patio. So the goal was to make a door and have it slide and lock into place. This is the kit for just that purpose.It's a very heavy duty set. When I received the package, I was surprised how heavy the small box was. The metal parts are all very solid and the wheels are thick, but smooth. The assembly is easy if you already have the gate to use.Just make sure the width of the gate fits the wheel bracket. The bracket goes up both sides of the gate, so you'll need to make sure the width isn't too thick.
