This is a rather simple tool: just a button to pump some air into the plastic mechanism with the balls (and water you put into it). Thankfully it does not need any batteries or the like to use, so it gains some clout for that. Unfortunately, since the locations for the balls are fixed, there is only so much variation you can get. Some of the "games" (which are just cards you slot in the back) are just bad, while others are decent. Ultimately, they did what they could to expand the use for the contraption, and for certain kids, it could work well, but for most it will just quickly be forgotten about.

Good toy for keeping the child busy especially on long road trips. It is a nice distraction from electronics. Because it doesn’t require any charging, you don’t have to worry about the power going off and the child getting upset. They can play for as long as they like. They have multiple cards to exchange to make playing exciting. It is good for playing alone or with a sibling or friend for a little competition. Just fill it up with water. Make sure it is secure so there are no leaks and the child is good to go.

This is just like the toy I grew up laying but better because it comes with backings that offer up different games. AND the games are for 2 players so you get to do mini competitions. My grandson and I played for an hour, going through some of the games, challenging each other. Once we we done with a game we swapped the bacing out and started a new game. We even changed up the rules to reinvent the game we were playing. This is a great on-the-go game. it does not take up much space, it is a quiet toy, it allows multiple players (interactive), it is super portable (great for a kids bbackpack), it is sturdier than I expected so I can't imagine breaking it, it is appealing because every kid wants to play it. I think these are all reasons why this toy has lasted for 50 years (anyone remember the original ring toss wersion?!) This is a toy worth buying.

So, let's just start with the good about this. It's cute and it comes with a handful of cards that are nice and bright. And the plug is decent, however I would not trust it with younger children to not come out. It holds just well enough when upside down, but does move a little and it seems like it could very easily be dislodged. It's not super firm. But it holds well enough for play for an older child.Now, let's talk about the glaring problem with this. We bought this for our 5-year-old. Was very excited to see this since I had a similar one growing up. Was extremely disappointed on sliding in the cards to find that the cards slide straight down and do not stay in. They are not held in place like it shows in the pictures. And we could not get them to stay in place. Even if it is sitting on a flat surface and not being moved around. You can see this in the pictures. And because they will not stay in place, you can't see the holes on each card correctly. Which, makes the games unplayable unless you can get the card to stay in place. Which, I guess you could if you used some clear tape. But that would be really annoying. We did get one to stay in place long enough for a 5-year-old to play one of the games, but it would keep coming down every couple minutes. And he was very frustrated. He's almost 6 and very mature and able to put these cards in himself. But neither he nor us as adults could get them to stay. Very sad.Even if they had stayed home I wouldn't say this was hours of fun for kids by any means. Really more like a novelty that would probably keep them entertained for 20 minutes or so. But honestly, not worth the money when the cards don't even stay in place. I didn't expect much for the money, but I expected the cards to at least stay in place since it is crucial to be able to play the game is properly. But no.

I got this for my 6-year-old daughter so she would have something to play with during summer break. It is sturdy, easy to fill with water, doesn't leak, and is easy to play with. It has 7 interchangeable game cards, but honestly, she never used them. It is also easy for her little hands to hold, even when filled with water, and the buttons are easy to press. She plays with it but can't stay on for more than 10 minutes, and gets bored with it after one round. I think it's a bit boring for her. Overall, it's a nice game and not too expensive, making it a great gift.
