I ordered for my ice cream recipe that called for vanilla bean paste. The first time I opened the jar it was almost to the top and looked horrible, almost like tar or used oil! I scooped out a teaspoon and it discovered that the vanilla was thick & rich!! It made the flavor if the ice cream delicious and the vanilla flavor was soooo good! The vanilla beans show up in my ice cream and my husband says this ice cream is the best he’s tasted in a long time. The price was perfect. I will recommend this to friends and anyone that is dedicated to baking with vanilla bean paste.

Came with paste on the outside but the actual seal wasnt broken so the spill mustve happened with a different product and no one cleaned it before shipping. Weird but whatever.Taste wise, whatever alcohol they preserve this in is SO STRONG. I usually mix my vanilla pastes into frostings or coffee, but the alcohol flavor in this one is overpowering. Its still VERY dense with so much vanilla seed so its good value for the money. More vanilla forward if used in stuff that cooks out the alcohol like in baking, but for anything cold/non-cooked do not add this.

Item arrived with the seal completely broken and about 1/4 of the paste in the jar missing. Very clearly used before. Not acceptable to give someone a used consumable - it is not safe. I had to throw the whole thing away.
