My son scored a 1480. Excellent student. Takes a well-known prep course but bought this for some extra. He found this book extremely useful for practical tips on analyzing reading passages and questions more effectively; cut down his prep time significantly.

So far, the book has been very useful for my son. The questions go very in-depth and logically explain why the wrong answer choices are wrong and why the correct ones are correct. Moreover, my son said the strategies have been very useful and have improved his score drastically.

Incredible book. If you REALLY approach the questions the author’s way, you WILL see how to answer the questions. You have to trust her method for highlighting and making notes on scrap paper. Yes, there is a highlighting tool on the digital test, and yes, they give you scrap paper. This book is for people who are serious about getting a top score, and willing to put in the time and effort.

Purchased for graphs and charts section only, looking for methods to work more quickly through these types of questions on the SAT. Book was delivered in bubble wrap and came mangled. Exercise question 3 on graphs and charts shows choice D as the correct response, however choice D (rainfall 100 mm higher than average) is NOT supported by the graph (shows approximately 80 mm higher than average). While the author's recommended technique for this section is reading the passage and not looking at the graph unless necessary, the correct answer should not contain data that is not supported by the graph. Graphs and charts has ten exercise questions, and graphs and charts was the only section we wanted to use. The test-taking techniques for graphs and charts were not helpful for us.Disappointed that we 1) received a mangled book and 2) found a problematic/not fully vetted question so quickly. It was the third one that we tried. Graphs and charts is one of the final sections of the book. If we had used the other sections first and found only this mistake near the end, we would not have had such a bad impression. However, using only this section, our impression is that this book was not put together with attention to detail.If you are using this book for sections other than graphs and charts, you may like it a lot more than we did.

Love the author because she is so helpful and really knows her way around the text. Some chapters repeat what her SAT writing book taught, making the two not all that different.
