I didn't really know that they can come in two pieces. The amount of times I struggled to get the reading of the weight because it's blocked by the thing I am weighing. Being in two pieces lets you be able to see the display clearly. It's amazing! I appreciate that the package came with four triple A batteries which are required for both the display screen and the scale (two, two each). Also two magnetic stickers you can place if you want to hang it on the fridge for example with the display unit having a handy kickstand in the back. Very easy to use as both units have an on/off button. The scale button lets you switch out the unit measurement - grams, oz, weight, ML etc. It says capacity is up to 15Kg so it can hold itself very well. It's worth the price as this is the only kind of scale you need.

The good: It has a nice big backlit display. The remote unit has magnets on the back so it can conveniently be placed on a refrigerator, or you can use the tilt display making it easier to read. At lower weights it seems to be spot on compared to my other scales. Can accept up to 33lbs.The bad: The backlight keeps going out every 10 seconds with the scale going off completely after 100 seconds. Neither can be changed. Grams are only measured as whole grams while other scales in its price range measure in 0.1g increments. You must first turn on the scale then turn on the display and wait for it to connect which after awhile gets annoying. At higher weights (15lbs) according to another reviewer it's off by 6 ounces, and I'm not about to spend $100 or more to get a calibration weight to test it myself.The annoyances outweigh the positives for me, though some may like the convenience of putting the display where you want which is the main benefit of this scale. Since it seems to be accurate at the lower weights which it will mainly be used for, I'll give it 4 stars and assume most won't be annoyed by the negatives as much as I was.

This is a great scale with what appears to be a gimmick at first glance but is actually pretty useful when you think about it.The detached control unit means you can configure the device without touching the actual scale itself. This means that you can adjust units or hit the tare button without disturbing anything you're attempting to weigh. This is useful if you're weighing something that might shift or become unbalanced with the slightest touch.It also comes with magnets so you can attach the controls to something to get it out of the way when not in use so that's cool. I like the fit and finish of the scale, it's got a nice brushed aluminum look.

I love this type of scale where your item doesn't cover the numbers because the numbers are on another section of the counter. I feed our dogs raw chicken and this scale has been a game changer. I put the bowl on the weigh part before I turn the number part on so that the bowl is part of the weight. So easy. I use pounds and ounces exclusively, but there are all types of weight options. This scales cleans up easily, which is important when using raw chicken. It also comes with a set of batteries. You will need to replace them fairly early, but I have rechargeable batteries that I use.

A bit on the cheaper feeling side due to the all plastics build, but otherwise works perfectly. This scales obvious gimmick is the wireless display which I would say is quite helpful in cases where the screen is obscured by a larger object on the scale. I first tested the range of the wireless screen and I was able to get about 30 ft away before I started losing connection with the scale. The scale itself seems to be well calibrated as I was able to check it with my 50 g test weight which as you may have guessed came out to a perfect 50 g on the scale which you can see in the photo I provided. It's a little annoying that I need to turn on both the screen units and the scale unit at the same time, but it's not too much of a hassle. The ability to count which takes the weight of a single item and then as you put on more of the same item it gives you accurate count based on the weight is a very handy feature for small annoying things that you don't want to count by hand. All the functions seem to work properly and other than the slightly cheap feeling built quality I would say this is a great scale especially since it has the ability to have a wireless display which seems to have a great range and the inclusion of magnets is also a nice touch. I will continue the scale and Report any problems I may have with it in the future.

After just over a minute and a half both halves shut off and you lose the reading for whatever was on it. You have to keep touching the platform to make it stay on, and if you are slowly adding small amounts of weight to your container it might shut off anyway.It's ok for measuring larger amounts but for small amounts like spices 1 gram resolution just isn't enough. I would have preferred 0.1 gram.Also, the platform is extremely small. Small enough that you pretty much have to use a bowl or other container for anything larger than say an onion.
