Yes, some of the subtleties of the game might not be fully understood if you haven't, but those minor moments certainly don't distract or lessen it in any way. Lots of humor and visually stunning, and after watching the making of, I have even more respect for the design team.I would point out one strange thing; on the Blu-ray version, at the end then JB and Mamoa are singing in the game store, JBs lines are muffled, but then the chorus is fine. I haven't checked the 4k one yet, but I did check the max streaming version and it didn't do it there

GREAT popcorn movie , it sounds AMAZING in Dolby Atmos and I got the 4k version HDR looks SO GREAT in this movie.Very colorful and actually funny at times.The guy in pink jacket on cover is SO FUNNY!

This movie is fun and crazy and filled with references to the game. Our family enjoyed it in theaters, and enjoy it now at home thanks to this steelbook version.

Its just fun to watch! Much easier to watch at home on our big screen TV, no noisy kids to disrupt.Just a fun movie for everyone. Good characters, fun adventures, just a nice movie without a lot of curse words and blood and guts.

Never before have I seen such quality cinema. Stellar casting, fantastic story, gorgeous visuals... A Minecraft movie has it all. Including a very platonic relationship between the characters of Steve and Garrett. Truly the bestest of friends. You could say they were roommates. This movie has improved my quality of life tenfold. I will hold this DVD/Blu-ray set near and dear. I plan on passing this down to my children, then my grandchildren so generations can enjoy this forever and true masterpiece of a movie.

What's not to love about Jack Black and Minecraft?!? This movie is pure joy and packed with silly humor. My whole family is a fan of Minecraft, so this was a must-own for us. Honestly, it's one of the better video games movie adaptations out there. Definitely check it out if you're a fan of the game and/or Jack Black's work.

Our Minecraft obsessed children love this movie, but we were surprised how much our two and four-year-old have enjoyed it as well. It is their favorite movie and they still randomly sing lava chicken or scream chicken jockey throughout the day.Jack Black is a recognized and popular actor for our kids after working on some fun movies they love like Goosebumps, the Super Mario Bros movie, and the Kung Fu Panda series. This is another classic Jack Black movie with his fingerprint all over it so if you like his humor you will appreciate this movie even as a parent in a kids movie.I don't buy into any of the low user ratings. If you're looking for a kid's movie and your kids even remotely like Minecraft, they will probably love this movie.
