It ended up working, but we had to use the old back plate. The new one did not hold the control board in place, it would move around. We also had to use the original wall screws no screws were included.

Okay so this is an excellent thermostat replacement for a single zone Dometic thermostat. I had to install on the fly in a Walmart parking lot and so I didn’t think to take pictures and before putting the RV in storage. However, the thermostat works perfect and I was impressed with the overall quality, feel of the buttons and was impressed that it came with great instructions and even a tiny screw driver which by the way, was very much needed. Not everyone carries a tiny screwdriver in their RV. The display came protected and is clear and well illuminated and you can easily see the settings and temp. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

The other person should have known how to take off the old one. It didn't say it was made or assembled is USA what do you expect. Also I got them to include a basic wiring diagram on this page. It does feel like cheap plastic but it does work. See how long it last.
